Per the rules for establishing mods of this forum, anyone may post in this thread volunteering to serve a 6 month term as mod beginning roughly on 2022-9-1 and ending on 2023-3-1. Any volunteer post which receives at least 10 likes in this thread will be considered an official nomination that will move forward to a full forum vote. This thread will remain open for 3 days.

I’ve made a post to discuss and vote on ending this ridiculous system which has caused nothing but forum strife, has caused many good posters to quit, and at this point only exists to cause drama. Let’s end this. Discuss and vote here: Let’s talk about rotating moderation, and get rid of it.

Let’s just keep the current moderators, and if someone else wants to be a mod, whenever, they can ask to be and be voted on. Similarly if someone wants to remove a mod, they can have that voted on. There’s no reason to continue this other than to stir up shit.
