THE Super Tuesday Mega-Gameday Sweat

Biden has done lightyears more damning stuff. A literal segregationist and loves killing brown people. But hey steyer did some bad things. So fuck Steyer. Vote Blue no matter what(I’m voting Biden but damn it sucks).

I think most leftists would consider having a billion dollars disqualifying for office. Victor is a leftist. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Disqualified! It’s henceforth.

Like we are literally being held at gunpoint to vote for two people the last two cycles who are responsible for killing millions and at the same time being lectured by the tone police. It’s infuriating.

I don’t care that he made his money that way, yes. Why should I? I’m not terrified of capitalism, just like I’m not terrified of socialism. I certainly don’t think someone’s past investments are necessarily a reason to write them off as some of y’all appear to.

Lol, I’m not tone policing. I’m laughing at cult members who can’t seem to understand why more people don’t want to join their cult.

Who said I was talking about you?

I think it’s weird that people aren’t held accountable for their choices just because they were done as investments.

This is what you people call toxic.

It’s pretty weird to a Euro when hearing of Americans who invest in the private prison complex and make huge sums from it, then try to do good in the community… Its a weird heel turn.

I agree. And hate myself a little about investing in the scumbag companies that are included in the index funds in our workplace accounts. At least in our Roth accounts we can choose index funds that exclude certain types of companies. But those funds are not available in our workplace accounts. We have no other real options if we want to invest in equities but to purchase the entire market.

When you suggest that Tom Steyer might be suspect because he has made a lot of investments in immoral things people strike back at the person making the accusation like that person had attacked them directly. Why is that?

Because they are assholes.

We all make lots of choices which cause harm. Some of us may try to minimize those or even make up for them, but at least, like you’re doing, admit it.

I called somebody a dumb mf itt and tore open the pandora’s box.

Oops.

Bottom line is there are some people who don’t actually care about politics, except in the context of self-engradizment. No candidate, public person, or fellow poster can ever pass their test because the test is the whole point. The whole reason they are involved is to be able to point out “failures” in others as a way to show how pure they are.

They don’t care that everyone is a real complicated human and that nobody is perfect. Their child-like view of the world pretends that someone will come along who perfectly matches them. Not the real them, of course, because they are far from perfect, but the ideal them they want to portray to the world in every post. The perfectly left version of them. The pure version.

These people don’t actually care about helping kids in cages. They only care about saying they care about helping kids in cages.

Thankfully, this type of person is rare so can be easily ignored as they are never serious thinkers.

This is exactly my point, re: Steyer. He’s throwing away hundreds of millions trying to fight climate change. Y’all ignore that and pretend he’s irredeemable because he made a lot of money. Regarding climate change, we are in a fucking terrible place re preventing society-destroying changes, when a guy is sincerely devoting hundreds of millions of the wealth he’s accumulated to helping prevent that, I think it’s pretty stupid to say, nah, fuck that guy. But ymmv. I’m sure your sanctimony will accomplish much more than his money.

It’s hilarious how much victor triggers you and how toxic you get when he does, all while you call others toxic

I misinterpreted the intention of your post. I’m sorry for the derail and toxicity.
