This hasn’t been done in the past, but I believe Victor has raised this point before (with no resolution). It’s possible that there’s some discussion on the topic earlier, but I haven’t searched for it and I don’t recall who weighed in or what they said.

I will say that I don’t think it’s appropriate for me to unilaterally decide to refund any money - I’m just a steward for the community’s money and would abide by their expressed views.

I’ve never checked Patreon messages before, sorry. But looking at the message you sent, you just offered the same deal that you offered in this post: refund your donations in exchange for you never posting again.

I never accepted that deal, and I don’t even think it’s my call to accept that deal. And I’m absolutely not accepting any deal that even hints that I’m paying someone off because of thievery.

Like just look at Victor’s posts, he thinks money he *donated* is owed back to him because he’s not happy with how the forum was run afterwards (and has been bugging you about this for months?!?), which is total clown shit. I’m sure he made this request knowing it’s problematic and untoward to assert that freely donated money should give you extra say over how the site is run (as that is the obvious consequence of thinking you can demand your money back if you don’t like what’s going on; you make the site suffer financially if you don’t get your way).

So, this is the escape hatch. Everyone’s happy and gets what they want without UP having to give in to this terrorist.
