I’m a former dj. I could spin a disco party of nothing but deep cuts right now (vinyl only). Not a brag or anything; just saying I can adjust.
I’m actually tempted to jump in but my biggest issue is 4 of these categories are essentially the same. Most bangers (as described) already fall under the “EDM” category.
Frick it I’m in if I haven’t been bangerlisted already. Prepare for 6 tracks from the most important artist in modern music history.
I can switch up some categories to make this more friendly to the non-banger crowd. Making this a fun time that everyone can feel included on is important.
This post just made me realize I can’t do this. I think the umpteenth mention of pitbull just broke me.
Not a fan which isn’t really even the point. The difference between the pitbull track you posted and the Weeknd track you posted is pretty substantial.
I’m having flashbacks to countless hours of listening to Bro step for social purposes. You guys have fun and I will definitely check out some of your personal selections.
Alright, I’m caving to the fact that you all weren’t feeling this and have updated categories. There is now only one category that requires the Haverford definition of a banger.
My musical tastes are actually quite varied. I enjoy indie rock, used to listen to a lot of punk rock and hard rock during my high school years, I do enjoy a good banger, edm, and pop music. I do know all but one of the songs funcrusher posted. My only real dislike is country.
You got me, how can I resist. I was close to attempting BANGERS!! anyway.
Be warned I will certainly not be interpreting 2000s indie to be the acoustic coffee house stuff skydiver correctly hates. For better or worse, obviously!
Yeah I’m gonna say acoustic coffee house is not really what I’m thinking when I say that either. I took out my example but The New Pornographers, The Shins, and Band of Horses are examples of Indie Rock bands I really like.
