The Television Streaming Thread: Now With Felonies

I think more likely he jumped off the ledge but yea, dude jumped.

It’s weird to me that they don’t tell us how far down he fell. Almost as if anyone with that knowledge who took freshman physics could work out for themselves whether it was possible for him to run off the building and land 45 feet away.

So, initial thoughts after watching today…

Utterly fantastic. I’m sure that local casts do as good of a job, but I think I’m very glad I got to see the original cast first, even if it wasnt live. The song work is incredible

The fact that a one sentence announcement by Netflix is written up as an “article” on a third party website is very 2020.

Also: that’s a good feature!

The fact that I felt no need to read the article beyond the headline (and didn’t need to anyway) says a lot too haha

„Bona Dea“ is literally „Good goddess“ and the name of a Roman Goddess of fertility. Gave her name to one of the more crazy episodes in the late Republic too (although I don‘t believe it is mentioned In the TV series Rome).

On the same weekend Netflix and amazon prime both release badass girl/woman action. Watched both seasons of Warrior Nun and Hanna. Not terrible. Time flies by on a train when watching downloaded prime episodes. :D

Finally watching Watchmen.

Episode 6 is one of the greatest episodes of television I have ever seen. I never remember individual episodes of TV shows (except for things I seen in syndication all the time). I will never forget this one.

Yes if I ever questioned whether “Deadline” should be part of my clicking lineup that article answers that question

Welcome to Plathville on Hulu.

It’s like that 20 kids show only these kids are blonde hair blue eyed which makes it even creepier.

Sick Note is a british netflix show about harry potter’s friend (ricky?) and shaun of the dead’s fat friend faking cancer and getting into hijinks. nice light comedy.

Agreed, both are very good, although they make for some weird nightmares to start off the work week.

I’ll be Gone in the Dark is an amazing read but even if you don’t read the whole thing, the epilogue is fucking unbelivable. Michelle McNamara never lived to see the Golden State Killer arrested, but she pulled a Babe Ruth and pointed to the stands before hitting a homerun and describing exactly how he’d be caught. She knew exactly how he’d be caught after decades of hiding.

One day soon, you’ll hear a car pull up to your curb, an engine cut out. You’ll hear footsteps coming up your front walk. Like they did for Edward Wayne Edwards, twenty-nine years after he killed Timothy Hack and Kelly Drew, in Sullivan, Wisconsin. Like they did for Kenneth Lee Hicks, thirty years after he killed Lori Billingsley, in Aloha, Oregon.

The doorbell rings.

No side gates are left open. You’re long past leaping over a fence. Take one of your hyper, gulping breaths. Clench your teeth. Inch timidly toward the insistent bell.

This is how it ends for you.

“You’ll be silent forever, and I’ll be gone in the dark,” you threatened a victim once.

Open the door. Show us your face.

Walk into the light.

Man, the Epstein documentary on Netflix is just brutal to watch. Okay, you probably already guessed that, but still.
