There are some things that are difficult for the AG to mess with thanks to Nixon and Hoover reforms. Also, Barr is under scrutiny, has his fingers in the impeachment pie, and is unpopular. He’s no doubt putting some sand in the gears, bit it’s not that easy for him.

He just wants to skip to the part where he thinks McConnell will be in charge of a trial that examines all the Democrats’ crimes, he’s going to flip his shit when he finds out the Chief Justice runs the Senate trial.

Dems still run things in the Senate trial, members of the House Judiciary act as prosecutors and lay out the case for conviction. That said, he’s probably not getting convicted and is never going to shut up about it but that’s going to be the case even if the House drags this out into next fall.
