Poker News and Live Streams - HU4LOLLZ

Thanks for posting a link to the stream. I’ve actually played a lot with the woman who won and it was great to be able to rail the event without having to shell out for PokerGo.

My friend that I met skydiving (before poker!) and have known for like 20 years won the Ladies event. I’m so stoked. I was on the same world record skydive mentioned in the chyron

I’m definitely a new fan of vlogs … I don’t watch much media these days, no tv really, no movies. But I enjoy poker vlogs, some of them anyway. It’s interesting to see poker’s … re-re-boom? I dunno.

Anyway, watching Daniel’s new wsop vlog and just wanted to say it’s very good. Which is weird to say because I find the dude really … just isn’t my speed most days. Same with Hellmuth. next thing, that dude is gonna put up a vlog I like. who the hell knows. Anyways, somehow video sharing (and streaming) platforms are poker’s next boom. That’s awesome. Daniel’s RV setup looks awesome. Whoever is editing the video is a pro for sure. Really digging it.

Still a lot of awkwardness. Video of table interactions…

I’m interested to hear some other takes on this. Do we feel like the combo of vlogs, Twitch, YouTube vids, etc. is driving a lot of new interest to the game?

I used to check out the occasional Polk video on YouTube or watch streams (KMart, Nandez, Courtie, etc.), but not so much anymore. It always kinda seemed like traffic was never all that impressive. Like the top poker streamers at this moment are doing a fraction of slot streamers. Polk and Joey get decent views, but nothing extraordinary. From what I hear, chess is experiencing a massive boom, thanks to Queen’s Gambit, and maybe poker needs something like that to really re-invigorate it.

Yeah, honestly I guess I don’t know. I’m in the US and haven’t played in a casino since pandemic. I wish online was a thing here … someone posted earlier some site is, but it seems super weird. So yeah, “re-re-boom” could just be “sapo likes poker vlogs”

Poker’s as good now as any time post-BF. The good players are much better and anyone who wants to win has plenty of resources to become competent, but there aren’t many young aspiring pros and there are still tons of gambly fish at all stakes. I think that the expansion of sports betting is helping to bring gambling to the forefront of popular culture moreso than poker video content.

If you want to play online, Bovada and ACR are good if you use crypto.

I suspect it’s a combination of things-- the rise of streaming driving interest again, the events of the last few years (sites being able to use crypto, Sheldon Adelson dying) making online reasonably reliable in the States again, maybe the expansion of sports betting too as @WAR said, maybe the pandemic getting people back into the online game. I don’t know, and I’m just speculating, because it’s only been recently I’ve discovered that online is really alive and well in the States.

I haven’t had anything to do for a while and I missed playing tournaments so I decided to check out the Colorado Poker Championship last month. Broke even on the series but that included two final tables, an 8th place and a W. And while I was there I ran into an old buddy from the MTT days and started learning more about the online options in America. So I’ve been playing ACR for a couple of weeks now but I want to expand. Def want to get some money on Bovada/Ignition because ACR doesn’t have a whole lot in the way of cash games and I hear good things about those there.

I would suggest looking into PokerBros.
I play on ipad pro, 4 table limit ,45% rakeback.
Games are good .
Find a reputable agent in PB thread 2+2.
Hit me with any questions.

Read this post and was 100% sure you were either a spammer or a scammer. Then I looked at your post history and it seems like you’ve been around for a little bit with >150 posts.

Can I use this in the state of Washington?
What’s the story related to hand histories and being able to track results?

My agent told me it was available in all states.

It is meant to be played on mobile, but if you have a computer that is capable of running an emulator you can play on a pc.( and track results with hand converter and hem, i think)

This allows you to get around the 4 table limit of a phone/ipad as well.

App will track # hands , RIO and vpip if your playing on phone. Can also download hands, tbh i havnt really bothered with this so far.

Some unions such as Diamond union only allow mobile on some or all tables.

Check the rake @ your stakes/union, as some are uncapped.

Rake is mostly the same as online till you get to midstakes, so beware.

Agent claims softness at midstake makes up for it.

IDK i dont play those.

Only play cash so can’t say anything about tourney’s.

Two spots I think I keep fucking up in Omaha. Remember this is a very loose game with most pots being potted and calling 4 or 5 ways.

Assume we are deep stacked.

Scenario 1:
Flop is JQK and you have QQ no other draws.

Scenario 2:

On the turn in huge multiway pot and have to call almost all in but have maybe $300 behind in like $2.5k pot. You have something like nut flush draw two par and gutty. Do you ever just call or always put in the final $300 as small raise?

I think pretty much comes down to if they’re going to call you if you hit anyway you can just call

Well the first step I do in both scenarios is check the thread title and post accordingly.
