The only person I can think of who has come close to that level that Iâve seen was @Jalfrezi when I called him out four months ago, and it wasnât as bad and it wasnât as undeserved. Like Iâm not condoning what jal said to me back then, but I was calling him out for using racist slang and understand he was furious about it and expected him to lash back out. It was already a heated discussion. The scale of overreaction here was immense.
Maybe later, Iâm at work. But granting people who have been around longer permission to break the rules is bullshit. Itâs how you end up with the cronyism that was on 2+2.

I paraphrased churchillâs to include âyour mom doesnât love youâ. I felt that paralleled the sentiment, without having to quote the entire post, as I thought we were trying not to since superbob has churchill on ignore.

Hereâs the other thing though. Because you choose to post personal insults at people, and tell them to fuck off & etc., you necessarily have to find a way to draw a line as to what kind of insults are proper vs improper behavior that coincidentally makes what you do OK, and what others do worthy of a perma ban.
Unlike you, I donât have to create an insult scoring system where I subjectively score my insults as 9/10, but otherâs insults are 17/10, in order to justify calling for a poster to be perma banned. The reason why is simple. I donât insult people in our community or tell them to fuck off, so I donât have to post-hoc justify my behavior.

Some people deserve personal insults, and some behavior should draw that type of attack in response. Some people choose to do so, others choose your approach.
Thereâs something to be said for taking the high road, but thereâs also something to be said for shouting down bullies and assholes who say awful things. Iâm willing to deal with the fallout around here for being in the latter group.
