I don’t get it. You like Van Morrison, a soul-based rock singer but don’t like either of the two greatest soul singers of all time…
Astral Weeks, Moondance and St Dominic’s Preview are all excellent btw. Now you’ve heard of Van Morrison you should give those albums a listen, in that order.

He’s got a huge catalogue - his Album "Astral Weeks’ is a thing of beauty - I think Rolling Stone might consider it one of the greatest albums of all time.
His Celtic Christian hymning is also surprisingly good.
I’m kind of embarrassed to ask, but can someone fill me in on what this game is? It seems fun.

On 2+2 we used to play Walrus. For anyone not familiar, one person is the game master and there are a bunch of other entrants. The game master names a number of categories, which can be anything, and the entrants all submit one song for each category. The idea is generally to expose the game master to music they haven’t heard before, (s)he then ranks the songs in each category in order of subjective preference and does a reveal. At the end, the entrant scoring most points is the winner.
Anyone keen to play?

HOW TO PLAY WALRUS
Anyone is welcome to enter. You pick one song for each of the 7 categories I post and send them to me in a PM, link them if they’re not on Spotify (or if they are, Spotify URIs are a good idea, so I get the right version). I will rank the songs. ranking is based on 1) how much I like the song, 2) category fit, 3) uniqueness of the pick (no strict rule about obviousness, but try to not submit songs that we’ve all heard a hundred times). I will then reveal them in a fu…

MUSIC TASTES
I mainly listen to rock and metal (from vanilla to extreme) and their siblings, cousins and bastards. I also listen to pop, hip-hop, some classic, a tiny bit of opera and I can generally find something I like in most genres.
Basically no-hoper genres: hardcore techno/gabber, Operetta
Dubious genres: Electronic, Jazz, country/western, disco, RNB
I listen to a lot of stuff, so just about everything else is in with a shot.

You picked the right one.
If you are talking about Sam Cooke and Otis Redding then I hope you see that “Caravan” is a very different song than for example “I’ve been loving you so long”. I never said I didn’t like the singers, I said I didn’t care for their songs.
Will do.
…says a guy named “pyatnitski”. It’s obvious your goal is to sow division, discontent and chaos among the electorate. Nice try, comrade. How’s the weather in St. Petersburg?
