fwiw I still think that Pelosi isn’t serious about impeachment and this will fizzle out.
Nun kept an ongoing count of Dems who were calling for impeachment. I think his working thesis was once it crossed 50% Pelosi would have no choice. Others disagreed. For some reason it frequently got way too personal on both sides. He rage-quit and, as is often the case, gets more attention now that he’s gone than when he was here.
If he’s in our hearts he’s still alive tho

This had nothing to do with the Mueller Report. It wasn’t the eDem strategy that turned the corner, it was Trump committing yet another impeachable offense and a brave whistleblower saving the day by shining the light of day on an entirely new scandal… which Trump then followed up by publicly admitting he did it before flip flopping back and forth on what he did or didn’t do and why.
Nunnehi believed that Dem leadership was going to impeach any day now on the grounds of the Mueller Report. That never happened, and now we’ll never know if it would have.
Meanwhile, we’re not even actually having a House vote on an impeachment inquiry I guess? Or not yet? Like the six standing investigations are just going to keep going, and this is going to run through House Intel I guess and they’re going to actually (maybe hopefully) play hardball with getting the whistleblower report? I mean, it’s a good development and on the subject matter of the new scandal I’m more optimistic that Democrats will do the right thing, but I wouldn’t say we’re home yet…
And by the way, those seven freshman Dems deserve the lion’s share of the credit for this, not Pelosi, not the establishment leadership.

Democrats need to make sure they don’t screw around on this. The entire whistleblower’s report needs to be turned over to House Intel, unredacted, unedited. If it’s not, use inherent contempt or just impeach the motherfucker.
If he wants to play political games and declassify part and redact part and release that version to the public or to the entire House, I suppose he has that right, but it doesn’t mean that he doesn’t have to give the full report to House Intel.
Do your job, Pelosi. Do your job, Schiff. Don’t back down now.
If the republicans and trump want something released idk…A nice sanitized report that clears or slightly hurts him and sinks Biden? Hope the dems are going on something solid and have a good plan.
I suspect the report will be redacted just enough to spin, and the transcript they release will be the best possible light they can put on this - and possibly falsified.
Feels like they’ve got something here but lord knows what. Like after all the ridiculous shit Trump has done, some phone call finally crossed the line? Probably just being hopeful but it sounds like there is some treasonous shit here.
