No. Pelosi’s pathetic performance over the past few months cannot be forgotten and honestly should be one of the big stories from this.
Let the record show that Abigail Spanberger, a woman in office for less than 9 months from a R+6 district, came out publicly for impeachment before Nancy Pelosi, a 17-term congresswoman and two-time Speaker of the House from a D+37 district.
That’s not how this is supposed to work. It’s supposed to be the Speaker of the House using leadership skills and spending political capital to get the Abigail Spanbergers of your party on board with your agenda. She should have been convincing them that it’s the right thing to do, even at the risk of increasing the probability of defeat next year.
Absolutely pathetic leadership.
