COVID-19: Chapter 5 - BACK TO SCHOOL

Idk…they seem to flip their beliefs on a dime if their God king tells them too. If trump says it’s safe and dems are cautious I could see them flipping right around and getting it. At least the ones who are not longtime anti vaccine people.

It’s a great show but only one season so far

Not sure about how philosophical it is tho there is one episode on a group of girl coders comes to visit and are shown around the office, which has very few female workers.

In the Nazi episode, Danny Pudi (Abed on Community) asks the boss-who-doesn’t-really-run-things if banning a group like that is ok and what about other groups and should a straight white man be making the decision, etc.

So he forms a diverse ethics committee and gets talked into doing a March Madness style bracket of groups to consider banning (Nazis beat out Patriot Fans in the final).

Button mashers are in the bracket! But they lose to NRA members round 1; so anybody pressing the button is at least better than an NRA member.

For all the button pushers:

What if instead of a button, they lined up in front of you and you had to stab them to death personally? Assume that they receive some type of anesthetic and wouldn’t feel the pain.

They will be all for the vaccine if it’s an unsafe vaccine that needs more testing. However they’ll refuse to take a properly tested vaccine that is backed by science. It’s going to be more of the same old gong show that we are living in.

I fucking hate that this is exactly the sort of logic we’re facing LOL

Did you guys get an answer to this question? The answer is the Social Distancing Index (SDI), which nun has been tracking. Here’s the site: https://data.covid.umd.edu

I mean the first line to their most famous song is…

“Somebody once told me the world is gonna roll me,
I ain’t the sharpest tool in the shed.”

Somebody was right.

Caught up on like 350 posts. Fun times. Cases up, stupidity surging nationwide, Oxford vaccine trial paused.

Wonderful.

Can you explain more?

Maricopa County imposed a mask mandate on 6/19. Cases continued to explode until a peak was hit 17 days later. Since then new cases are down around 90%. Seems like a success story.

Now imagine being this fucking stupid and irresponsible:

Reminder that Andy Biggs’ big accomplishment in life is winning Publisher’s Clearinghouse Sweepstakes $10M. Ed McMahon handed him one of those big checks. That’s it.

Edit: Sorry, that was American Family Publishers sweepstakes.

This cannot be real.

It can’t be real, but it is*. Wiki:

In 1992, Biggs won $10 million in the American Family Publishers sweepstakes.[56] He subsequently appeared in a TV ad with Dick Clark and Ed McMahon to promote the sweepstakes.[56]

*American Family Publishers sweepstakes, not Publisher’s Clearinghouse, if it matters.

Ahhh the hell in lucifer is this

For a transverse myelitis case, which is super weird and makes no sense to me as the vaccine being the cause. Way out of my league overall, but this really may be a coincidence.

Let’s hope. It’s probably more likely than not to be a coincidence, but this is still 2020.

Here’s the latest graph for Maricopa County updated with a partial SDI/case measurement period of 6 days. My score for them seems right on the money:

The cases there should start dropping again within a week or two, unless Andy Biggs (one of the 10 dumbest people in Congress) wins the mask war.

1164 new cases in the Czech Republic.

By comparison, Germany which has a population 8 times the Czech Republic had 1176 new cases

Off to school!

Almost caught up to the US per capita.

Skimmed. So this article’s pony may be on pause after an adverse reaction.

Has some clearly written detail that I didn’t see in the other articles posted.

Says this is pretty standard. And that we could be looking at a pause of a month.
