COVID-19: Chapter 5 - BACK TO SCHOOL

This cannot be real.

It can’t be real, but it is*. Wiki:

In 1992, Biggs won $10 million in the American Family Publishers sweepstakes.[56] He subsequently appeared in a TV ad with Dick Clark and Ed McMahon to promote the sweepstakes.[56]

*American Family Publishers sweepstakes, not Publisher’s Clearinghouse, if it matters.

Ahhh the hell in lucifer is this

For a transverse myelitis case, which is super weird and makes no sense to me as the vaccine being the cause. Way out of my league overall, but this really may be a coincidence.

Let’s hope. It’s probably more likely than not to be a coincidence, but this is still 2020.

Here’s the latest graph for Maricopa County updated with a partial SDI/case measurement period of 6 days. My score for them seems right on the money:

The cases there should start dropping again within a week or two, unless Andy Biggs (one of the 10 dumbest people in Congress) wins the mask war.

1164 new cases in the Czech Republic.

By comparison, Germany which has a population 8 times the Czech Republic had 1176 new cases

Off to school!

Almost caught up to the US per capita.

Skimmed. So this article’s pony may be on pause after an adverse reaction.

Has some clearly written detail that I didn’t see in the other articles posted.

Says this is pretty standard. And that we could be looking at a pause of a month.

This doesn’t make any sense as described. Lawyers don’t take that case on contingency and would cost a few thousand to get something on file that would be dismissed with one motion. Sounds urban legendy.

As someone who occasionally overwrites, the last line took this from a 10/10 to an 8/10.

I see Russians made it through to the round of 16 and only lost to sheep-shaggers. That’s USA#192 for you, I guess - even the anti Nazis are racist.

Shame xenophobes weren’t included, and I can’t think why that might be.

not sure if posted already…

Five students in my school across 3 classes have been in contact with somebody who has covid19 within the last 2 days. They are home awaiting their test results.

I may have taught up to three of them over those 2 days. Depending on their results the school might be closed down.

Things are getting closer here as well. At my school of 1000+ students, one student was tested yesterday and is awaiting results today and one colleague is at home, because her husband is tested today as a contact person of someone (probably a student at a different school).

The researchers flagged concerns over seemingly identical levels of antibodies in a number of study participants who were inoculated with the experimental vaccine. This and other patterns in the data present “several different points of concern,” according to an open letter written by Temple University professor Enrico Bucci and signed by more than a dozen other scientists.

Where are you getting these county level SDI scores?

Got an e-mail from our kids’ principal today to clarify the plan for returning to school (it’s optional). Straight-up said that social distancing is impossible. Ok, no thanks then.

Good on your kids principal. At least they didn’t lie. They get to go to bed at night with a clear conscience about the biggest call of their career.
