Can one of you musically inclined folks ELI5 this one for me? None of those songs sound like each other to me. But they all have the same notes in there at some point?

Didn’t listen to the whole thing, but it’s possible that they are all built around the same chord progression. In other words, you could play the same sequence of chords on a guitar and it would go along with the melodies from each of those songs.

Yeah. It’s the same chord progression going on just at a different tempo with some fancy extra shit sprinkled in to make it sound different but it’s fundamentally all just the same 4 chords in the same progression.
