Pretty good considering how grim things looked at the start.
Not much talk about nerdle, which I think may be because it is the easiest of these games. Anyone have any standard openers that they use. I just go with a first two of
6/2+7=10
48-9*5=3
All operations and digits are covered. Nearly impossible to fail after that start. There are probably better combos, but I haven’t bothered since there is not much point.

I have been wondering about this as it pertains to quordle.
Ok this pissed me off, I guessed computer which was in the teens, I guessed battery which was like 19, and I guessed television and monitor which were lower than computer and way lower than battery, was never getting back to display with monitor being a lot lower than battery.

I’ve been starting with 12+38=50. Have gotten it in 3 or 4 most days and got it in 2 once. That start usually gives a good foundation to build on with 6/10 digits used, but maybe less digits and more functions is better.
My fourth guess on semantle tonight was 951/1000.
My 79th guess was 999.
It took me 143 guesses to get the word. I genuinely don’t understand how they determine similarity.

I force myself to use digits I’m correct on. Screwed me over once
I do 9+8-2=15. No idea if that’s optimal
Since like my fourth nerdle, I’ve always opened with
2*3+4=10
to good results. This hits the two most likely operations. Division and subtraction are less likely because they make certain calculations impossible for the right hand side to accommodate. You can’t get negatives and things like 9+8/3 can never appear as the left side because then the right would not be an integer, while 9+8*3 is fine.
Also, I think smaller digits are better than high digits, because the small amount of space on the left side really limits the number of ways you can get numbers bigger than, say, 30 on the right side.
