Our NYEs consist of the wife and I sitting on the couch watching Anderson for the past few years. Always a good laugh.
Side story that I’m sure real New Yorkers will hate- when we were younger for many years in a row we use to go to the city New Year’s Day and do all the touristy stuff my mom likes. Get there around noon, cupcakes at Magnolias for brunch, picture with the tree, drinks at Marriot Marque, food/drinks at Carmine’s. Great way to start the year
Leases in Texas say something like, “a non-occupant cannot stay more than x consecutive nights or more than y nights per month,” where x is less than 3 and y is less than 5. Of course it’s something I’ve just ignored because it’s awful, but that could’ve gotten me into a sticky situation.
Currently doing the whole gf and I started drinking to early so one of us is passed out in the hotel room half an hour to midnight while the other one is chilling in their phone and couldn’t be more content.
I hear you… I phoned my cousin in Canberra last night and it was his morning… Said all the usual stuff and I asked how the fires were and he said it’s all OK as we have a Uwt.
I didn’t realise it was that bad until Chris showed the Canberra parliament…
