It pains me to say it, but this is an unfair and misleading criticism of Prager.
He says “Of course you should never call somebody the n-word, that’s despicable.” He just thinks scholars, historians, and intellectuals (like himself!) should be able to use the word in its historical context. His point is still dumb and insensitive, but not for the reason implied by the tweet.

I found this article interesting. It discusses how sports by their nature carry a right-wing slant that needs to be considered any time the collision of sports and politics gets discussed.
is that an argument that really needs to be made, though? Like who out there is pretending liberal use of the n word doesn’t exist in Huckleberry Finn (a literary masterpiece) ? I know censored versions exist but it doesn’t detract from the story at all. In history, do we really need hard n words in the text? No one’s pretending people didn’t say that all the time in the past. Like literally no one.
I would suspect anyone passionately making this argument probably needs to take a hard look at themselves.

Agree. And the author takes it a step farther, noting that the culture of sports themselves, particularly football, is basically fostering right-wing thinking (pull myself up by my own bootstraps otherwise I’ve failed).

The workers are members of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, UNITE HERE, and Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU) unions, and are employed by the two largest airline catering subcontractors in the world: LSG Sky Chefs and Gate Gourmet.
