Who will run in 2020?

As opposed to the large donor class that is all poor black people?

The article linked is about Mayor Pete.

I guess heā€™s going for some sort of ā€œACTUALLY small donors are bad tooā€? So, cool, letā€™s federally fund elections?

I mean it isnā€™t exactly rocket science to assume that people that donate any amount of money to a political campaign are slightly better off than people that canā€™t donate money. Still not sure why we should criticize them rather than the big money donors that have traditionally owned elections.

Oh shittttttt

Sorry

You legit think thereā€™s a conspiracy to take down Andrew Yang and Corey Booker?

I think thereā€™s a conspiracy to take down everyone who isnā€™t Biden, Pete, or Klobā€¦ but thatā€™s whoā€™s in reach today. I think thereā€™s a clear massive preference for candidates willing to sell out to corporate interests basically.

Correctā€¦ Warren was off the CNN headlines about fundraising just there todayā€¦

And the conspiracy is to prevent polls showing people actually love the DNC elitesā€™ ā€œred headed stepchildrenā€ from coming to light?

The conspiracy is to represent everything a non corporate approved candidate does in the worst possible light, and if that canā€™t be found to not cover it at all. I think Bernie, Warren, and Yang have all had incredibly unfair coverage. I think if there was a way to frame it negatively they found it, and if there wasnā€™t a way to frame it negatively they didnā€™t cover it at all.

I actually think the DNCā€™s role in this is pretty minor.

Also this is less ā€˜conspiracyā€™ and more ā€˜a flock of ducks flying together because it reduces dragā€™. Big corporations genuinely dislike the non establishment Dems because they all universally want to reduce their power and wealth. As a result they all individually follow their own interests and fuck them over. Collusion isnā€™t necessary or even preferable.

Are you suggesting that media coverage has been remotely fair for Warren, Bernie, or Yang? Are you suggesting that the DNC didnā€™t do what it could to rig the contest in favor of HRC in 2016? Like how is any of this even controversial at this point?

This country has a massive problem with establishment elites covering for each other. It goes both ways and it doesnā€™t require collusion to function. In fact thanks to laws about things like conspiracy basically nobody does that. Thatā€™s how lobbyists manage to get what they want. They support people up front and then ask for a favor later. There is no quid pro quo, but the general public gets fucked raw in the process. This is just part of that.

I havenā€™t suggested anything. Iā€™m glad you clarified that you think itā€™s corporate interests and not the DNC behind your conspiracy, as I will fully admit that makes more sense. I still have no idea why not conducting polls would matter in this conspiracy though, because Bernie isnā€™t going anywhere and the riff-raff candidates have never polled well (and never will.)

Yang has polled at 5% in A rated polls nationally in the last 10 days. He just raised 16.5M dollars in the 4th quarter. Heā€™s not riff raff. Heā€™s also doing very very well on the eye test if youā€™re actually watching the guy. Heā€™d be doing much much better with actual media coverage.

The rules have been absurdly lenient toward longshot candidates this primary season. Like every debate has been a clownshow with people like Tulsi and Marianne Williamson. gtfo with this conspiritard nonsense, itā€™s the same bs the Ron Paul stans used to crow about.

Heā€™s riff-raff ainec

Surely heā€™ll just be able to hold a press conference and point at some manila folders and the media will be satisfied heā€™s fully divested himself from his businesses.

I want you to stop and actually think hard about the other candidates you donā€™t consider riff-raff. How exactly are they any better? Iā€™ll grant you Warren is slightly better, but sheā€™s a worse candidate who makes bad risk decisions (Medicare backtrack and the Native American thing). My issues with Bernie have been covered exhaustively here.

Klob is probably the best establishment candidate and sheā€™s apparently a cruel person. Buttigieg is a walking personality disorder and Biden was wrong about everything before he went into steep cognitive decline.

Like how are you judging this exactly?

Candidates who never had a chance vs candidates that have a chance.

What makes a candidate that has a chance exactly?

Donald fucking Trump is president of the United States. How about we stop pretending that only likely things happen. Yang getting to the point where he hit 5% in national polls multiple times in the last 10 days while raising almost as much money as Elizabeth Warren and Joe Biden was substantially less likely than him closing the gap and winning the whole thing. The guy literally started from 0. What heā€™s done to date is the most impressive thing to happen in this cycle so far period.
