Who will run in 2020?

Hahahahaha. Biden/Kasich 2020. Unbelievable. This dude is really the front runner at the end of December 2019. I really hate the Democrats right now.

Boy that’ll teach Republicans not to lurch to the right.

Dems: “Hey, don’t do that again, or we’ll just have to
include you on our presidential ticket next time! Yea!”

Biden getting the nomination would be an unmitigated disaster for the Democrats, the United States and the world.

Trying to create a society where you view anyone as “The Other” who is a existential threat to the country that you and you’re family reside in is IMO racist in the simplistic of forms no matter the intended outcome
And is exactly what the American evangelical’s have done to the detriment of not only POC but to anyone who doesn’t self identify as an republican or a right wing sympathetic supporter

Maybe I’m just a dumd UKer, but from where I’m coming from is that our politics up until Brexit did not consist of only these 2 options and still doesn’t in most all parts of Scotland where political discrimination is generally not even a thing, but we did live through the prodestant/Catholic family fights and that’s where I’m coming from here in that people are in general just wanting the same things, peace and security (In a group if possible) and to live without fear of the Other.

I’m no Academic so sorry for any word salad and hope you peeps can see my point in agreeing to hide the post above.

Yeah this post doesn’t deserve flagging. I disagree with it pretty strongly, but it shouldn’t be flagged. Reading comprehension please people.

Strong disagree. That’s some fucked up posting, imo.

He’s just saying we should make it socially unacceptable to be with the GOP. Honestly Trump’s kind of already done that in a lot of places. He wants to export that elsewhere. Fine I guess. I don’t think it’s a good long term strategy. A good long term strategy would be figuring out what we can say that appeals to the bottom 85% of the population as broadly as possible and using that to turn them out. Intentionally shitting on the poorly educated white people in the bottom 85% is a bad way to do that IMO.

yeahhh if I catch wind that someone is a trumper I am 100% banishing them from my life/career/everything. If I get a resume and I google the guy’s name and he’s a trumper it goes in the trash.

Yang is peddling BS about how it’s the DNC not releasing polls, obviously they have and shouldn’t have anything to do with it. Also you only want the DNC to do polls so you can later claim they rigged them when you don’t do well enough in them (he definitely seems like the type of guy who would totally do that).

Fair to complain there haven’t been many of them lately but that’s a different problem. Polls cost money and nobody’s stepping up.

On top of that the DNC has far less money than even the Yang campaign does.

There’s a simple logical thread to what I write. As long as Republicans are the way they are, national unity is a fantasy. Not treating them as the enemy is effectively being a doormat in the face of Republican aggression, which is going to continue because Trump is a typical Republican, not an outlier. So, we should treat them like enemy and borrow techniques from wartime propaganda, encouraging people to feel negative emotions towards conservatives.

I get that people find the idea unsettling and would rather win another way, but that way isn’t appealing to centrists and it isn’t converting Republicans.

So, if you want to sing Kumbaya while being marched towards the “showers”, go right ahead, but I’m not joining you in line.

Convince me I’m wrong because if all you do is complain about my lack of decorum, then why should I see you as any different from centrists who focus on civility?

This is a correct post

This is 100% true. It also didn’t have to be true. The media could have called them on their BS long ago, but the media’s desire to be “neutral” has caused a both-sides catastrophy from which this country will never be able to recover.

It’s gonna be a slow decline, but we’re done. It’s all downhill from here.

If he did nominate Pete that would be quite the touché.
