The Young Turks are so unexceptional, apart from maybe the moxie to have carved out a niche for their name. The caliber of advocate on the left is really poor and another limitation our side must overcome if we’re to win in 2020. Four fifths of the Dems on the dais for all these recent hearings weren’t very good speakers.
Not that the most consistently inspired and articulate messages and messengers would mean much in this post-truth hellscape.
This makes me like him even more. As a frequent patient since I was about 12 years old, this question has always pissed me off. It’s utterly useless. My 3 could be someone else’s 10, or vice versa.
Conversely mine is always too low. This isn’t some macho toughguy ‘tolerance’ for pain, it’s that I literally don’t feel pain as strong.
I had a complete spiral fracture of a finger that the doc thought was a sprain pre-xray. She moved the finger and closed my hand to a fist, then came back and said it was the worst break she’d seen where the patient wasn’t hollering. She said I should’ve screamed when I made a fist.
It’s not badass and actually scary. I’m vaguely worried I’m gonna die from some ailment that doesn’t feel that bad at the time.

I thought the same about debating Donald Trump. HRC agreeing to be on the same stage as him gave far more credence to his being a viable candidate for president than he ever deserved. But I guarantee whoever wins the nom will do it again if Trump agrees to
I think it’s actually particularly problematic for Duke to be invited onto Cenk’s show - his viewers are exactly the kind of low info fringe-drawn people who are susceptible to reactionary racist bullshit.

I go back and forth on this in my head a lot, but I disagree with this view pretty hard right now. Will there ever be a time when we can just dismiss someone like david duke without debate? I mean, we already know that his beliefs are not only wrong and dumb, but they also lead to a bunch of other negative effects. This debate has happened many, many times, and one side is clearly right, when do we get to act like it’s over?

David Duke is a Rodger Stone type… I’ve had them in my life at a young age, and I said it before Trump got elected that these folks rise because of coverage in the main stream…
You can’t debate with these folks because they ain’t honest.
There is only 2 ways to deal with them and 1 is jail time the other is not for this forum.

Unfortunately our 2 country’s are in for a world of hurt in the next 10 years with the rise of right-wing populism… I’m just thankful that I’m a UKer and so should USA folks and that’s part of the reason.
It’s serious here in the UK now, the far right have the power, they are stripping all our workers rights right at this moment, there are folks who voted Conservative that now realise their mistake and its a lot of folks who realise they got duped because someone had sympathy for a country that was torn apart by right-wing populism.
I ain’t got any answers atm, except to document there moves… I have family who are suffering from autism and that’s where my heart will be for the foreseeable future, because Fuck my country and fuck the Torys.
