There are already dumb twitter posts blaming others (billionaires really, she was done before they started doing anything) for kamala’s demise. She had her moment when she beat Biden in the debate a few months ago and like Beto failed at seizing that momentum and now it’s over.
I mean I think people should just acknowledge that where we currently set the bar for free education is pretty arbitrary. Like, you could just as easily argue that people don’t “need” 9-12 education any more than they “need” a college degree. Lots of kids could get by doing essentially shop class or apprenticeships or just becoming waiters or cashiers or whatever at age 15.
You can easily argue (correctly, I think) that the societal benefit of having every child get a free 9-12 education outweighs the cost of providing that, but you can also make that same argument (again, correctly I think) about college or trade schools. But in any case let’s not pretend like there’s something innately better about 9-12 education than college. It’s just a matter of where you want to draw the line.
I think the point is supposed to be that grades 9-12 are the finding out period for those who are going to college or not.
They’re probably good about knowing talented people in their field. The difficulty is that some businessman with no experience in the public sector is going to know jack-all about who would make a good federal judge.
Lol free doctorates the horror!
Can you imagine?
I’m 400 posts behind in this thread and doing things like spamming music threads because I don’t care about long strings of garbage posts slagging solid candidates and good posters.
Oh, fuck right off. Eat the rich, indeed.
“oh he did one of those presidential volunteering photo ops?”
“Yeah but for the WRONG charity.”
Huh? My only point was that he’s innovative and smart. Also, I don’t think the president is all that important outside of setting the national tone and agenda. The implementation of that agenda gets done by cabinet wonks and their secretaries. If there were literally no president for a week, the country would run just fine. There’d be zero disruption in the military or anywhere else
No, guys, you just wouldn’t understand. There’s NUAAAAAANCE.
Hypothetical
If you knew for a fact the economy would crash badly in 2022 do you think it would be better long term for the country for Trump to be president when that happens or a dem?
Assuming dems control house and repubs control senate.
Dem seems obvious but man its gonna be fucking rough.
Dem because RBG isn’t making it to election day, giving the next R prez the chance to nominate another 2-3 justices.
He is the best president of our lifetimes. That is the problem though, not a defense of him. To be fair Obama did give it a college try his first year and a half or so. And then he realized he didn’t have the stomach for it and dedicated himself to trying to not be disliked.
I’m no presidential historian, but I don’t think this is accurate. He didn’t “give up,” he just ran into a brick wall with a house and senate that openly bragged that they’d veto a “water is wet” bill from President Obummer

This is worse than cinnamon rollgate.
I hope boredsocial enjoyed the whipped cream though.
Obummer gave up after he rec’d the nomination. It can only be speculated why he took the citibank donations and appointment suggestions (he went on to appoint 13/14 of citi’s suggestions?). I personally choose to believe he woke up with a horses head lying between he and Michelle and rec’d a call about an offer he couldn’t refuse.
I know it means less coming from me, but every time AOC or rose twitter blue checks attack Pete, all we talk about on here and on twitter (and sometimes it spills to MSM) is, that’s right, you guessed it: Pete. Look how much energy you guys put into disparaging him on here. Now imagine if you put half that amount into actually selling your candidates. I like reading it here, because it allows me to figure out the line between which type of voter might listen, and which type is unreachable.
I’ll give you some numbers: Pre-AOC tweet, Pete’s ad (at least on twitter) had been viewed ~40k times. As of now, it’s been viewed 4.2 million times. Now, you can be optimistic and think that all 4 million of those views are people who agree with AOC…but that’s not realistic. If she’d just ignored it, no one outside of Iowa would have seen that ad. Now the world, and a whole lot of people that don’t agree with AOC (yes, even democrats), has seen it.
If I was sneaky, I wouldn’t tell you any of that, because strategy, but really, I’d love to see more of you getting out there and supporting the person you want to win. More political action from anyone that’s a dem is a good thing, IMHO.
This is the equivalent of “you’re gonna make me vote for Trump”
lol at trying to claim people here don’t talk about why they like their preferred candidate.
lol at trying to imply those 4.2 million views are because of AOC.
