Most people arenāt paying attention, and Biden is still best known as Obamaās vp. Bloomberg is best known as the stop and frisk soda ban guy.
Jebus. Ok, fine, welcome aboard Peter. In 2020 after Trump is re-elected letās see who else changes their mind too late to matter.
dont think so. not now, nor historically (see her stance on lgbt rights).
Sheās renounced that stance and has publicly apologized for it. Her father was staunchly against gay rights. She changed her belief (she says) after serving with members of the lgbtq community in the military (ahemā¦ Warren was a Republican til she was 47. Gabbard is 38 now). So sure. She loses points for once being so wrong about a belief, but she earns some back (at least on my scorecard) for openly admitting her mistake and adjusting her position. Iāve been wrong and have changed my views on some very important matters as well. I think we all have
But what Iād really like is for someone to cite where sheās been untruthful. The entire reason these ad hoc attacks exist against her is precisely because sheās truthful and calls things like she sees them. Whereās the evidence that sheās a Russian asset? Cite some FACTS that I can delve into. Sheās the recipient of the meritorious service medal and has served on the homeland security, armed services, financial services, and foreign affairs committees
I have no vested interest in Tulsi fucking Gabbard, but do have a huge interest in pointing out how MSM steers gullible people in the direction they want, by ignoring and even smearing candidates they donāt want us voting for or knowing much about
Dude not going to go through this again, but it gives you no pause that she is boosted by: Fox News, RT, Russian bots, and is the fucking āThe one Democrat I can likeā candidate in poll after poll of Republicans? All of that is a happy accident?

I think youāre overestimating the knowledge of people who donāt pay attention. Both in terms of knowing Bloomberg was the stop and frisk guy and in understanding why itās a terrible policy.
I posted two of her votes that sucked and demonstrate that sheās not progressive in the ways that a lot of people who like her are drawn to her because of her isolationist positions think she is. Sheās a war hawk in her own way.
Now she is actually progressive on social and environmental issues.
All her votes on immigration that I looked at are good. She didnāt vote on the terrible funding thing that Nancy Pelosi wanted, but I donāt think any of the candidates did. She hasnāt take a position on whether border crossing should be decriminalized.

Daouās face turn was like 2+ years ago, to be fair.
The number of issues that I would put ahead of gay rights is in the double digits. Iām more willing to accept disagreement on that issue than a bunch of other stuff, so Iām not going to ding anyone much for being wrong on it (although it tends to correlate with being wrong on other stuff).
going āall inā in a primary seems pretty dumb i mean are you really not going to support any of these guys against trump rn? you canāt give him 8 years, better a biden than that, i mean who knows, maybe joe can negotiate a trillion dollars for cancer research if he agrees to name it āthe republican party presents: tax cuts and jobs 2ā and promise 800 billion of it goes to some scam companies. itād still be better than trump. how great would it be if joe biden at the presidential debate bumps chests with trump and smacks him around a little? i think heāll do it.
and look, bernie would be better, he would give very intelligent reasoned responses to every question and systematically deconstruct all of trumpās bullshit in an understandable way and in a funny voice and he looks funny so itās entertaining at the same time.
and iād love to see pete up there against trump acting like a regular guy, like your nice grandson who you donāt see often enough, being very straightforward and plain, in very stark contrast to an aging dottering fuckin loony idiot
and i still think liz would be great in a debate against trump because like bernie she would make appeals for reason against corrupt capitalism and donald trump is like the perfect strawman because he actually exists, he is somehow a man this obviously corrupt and guilty.
mike bloomberg? i think mike bloomberg is very intelligent and pragmatic, seemed competent as a mayor in general, but heās not entertaining enough to find a place in national politics, heās basically an older uglier pete buttigeig but i honestly think he could be a pretty good president, probably better than pete.
yang unfortunately is a joke candidate. iād love to see him do it but iām not getting my hopes up and i already told you iām voting for bernie, but yang would be way better than trump, cāmon
basically what iām saying is iām still out here having fun, still gonna vote for my favorite, love the conversation, thanks.
Trump may well be the worst candidate ever, so yeah, but itās not saying much. If Marco Rubio were the Dem candidate Iād vote for him against Trump. Even Ted Cruz.
If Marco Rubio were the Dem candidate Iād vote for him against Trump. Even Ted Cruz.
Iāll confess that during 2016, I thought that President Ted Cruz would be worse than President Donald Trump.
and then you have a guy saying people who would support a moderate candidate are no better than trump voters here. I understand weāre all on a spectrum here, in more ways than one, but still, like man, it seems super common sense to support whoever wins the dem primary. Iām planning on taking at least all of my vacation and whatever sick days I can get at whatever job Iām at to volunteer to help WHOEVER is against trump.
I put a lot of effort for me into the 2018 midterms and it had a good outcome in a tight race. I really feel I made a nonzero difference and you all can too, if I can. Thereās no pointless votes.
After Navy Seal bro is done crying about being accused of being a racist if you mention āborder securityā (@33 min or so, itās in the link), listen to Red Sparrow talk about immigration, open borders, and refugees for the next ~8 minutes or however long, and I humbly suggest: donāt bring her the fuck up ever again. If you canāt see the nationalist bingo lights go off and why sheās on Tucker every week and why sheās the one Democrat Republicans seem to like, no more help can be given to you.
cliffs: Tulsiās for a āsensible approachā to immigration guys. O P E N B O R D E R S @37min
Thereās no pointless votes.
Meh. HRC beat Trump by 3 million votes in the US while beating Trump by 4 million votes in CA, ie Trump won the rest of the US, ie votes in CA donāt mean anything in the general. Making calls to people in Wisconsin or something would be way more effective than voting in CA. A ballot gets mailed to my house though, so itās not like it really takes any effort to vote.

Not sure how you meant that - hard to do sarcastic cliffs.
Down ballot matters.
America can be explained by 4 graphs, relative to the rest of the world :
Health care spending
Gun deaths
Military spending
Effective tax rate by net worth
The rest is just noise.
Yes, though in my district itās pretty locked up until you get to state assembly, which is a super-majority anyway, but there are local offices and ballot measures.
