Sheās renounced that stance and has publicly apologized for it. Her father was staunchly against gay rights. She changed her belief (she says) after serving with members of the lgbtq community in the military (ahemā¦ Warren was a Republican til she was 47. Gabbard is 38 now). So sure. She loses points for once being so wrong about a belief, but she earns some back (at least on my scorecard) for openly admitting her mistake and adjusting her position. Iāve been wrong and have changed my views on some very important matters as well. I think we all have

The entire reason these ad hoc attacks exist against her is precisely because sheās truthful and calls things like she sees them. Whereās the evidence that sheās a Russian asset? I have no vested interest in Tulsi fucking Gabbard, but do have a huge interest in pointing out how MSM steers gullible people in the direction they want, by ignoring and even smearing candidates they donāt want us voting for or knowing much about

I think youāre overestimating the knowledge of people who donāt pay attention. Both in terms of knowing Bloomberg was the stop and frisk guy and in understanding why itās a terrible policy.

I posted two of her votes that sucked and demonstrate that sheās not progressive in the ways that a lot of people who like her are drawn to her because of her isolationist positions think she is. Sheās a war hawk in her own way.
Now she is actually progressive on social and environmental issues.
All her votes on immigration that I looked at are good. She didnāt vote on the terrible funding thing that Nancy Pelosi wanted, but I donāt think any of the candidates did. She hasnāt take a position on whether border crossing should be decriminalized.
Daouās face turn was like 2+ years ago, to be fair.

The number of issues that I would put ahead of gay rights is in the double digits. Iām more willing to accept disagreement on that issue than a bunch of other stuff, so Iām not going to ding anyone much for being wrong on it (although it tends to correlate with being wrong on other stuff).

and look, bernie would be better, he would give very intelligent reasoned responses to every question and systematically deconstruct all of trumpās bullshit in an understandable way and in a funny voice and he looks funny so itās entertaining at the same time.

mike bloomberg? i think mike bloomberg is very intelligent and pragmatic, seemed competent as a mayor in general, but heās not entertaining enough to find a place in national politics, heās basically an older uglier pete buttigeig but i honestly think he could be a pretty good president, probably better than pete.
yang unfortunately is a joke candidate. iād love to see him do it but iām not getting my hopes up and i already told you iām voting for bernie, but yang would be way better than trump, cāmon

Trump may well be the worst candidate ever, so yeah, but itās not saying much. If Marco Rubio were the Dem candidate Iād vote for him against Trump. Even Ted Cruz.

and then you have a guy saying people who would support a moderate candidate are no better than trump voters here. I understand weāre all on a spectrum here, in more ways than one, but still, like man, it seems super common sense to support whoever wins the dem primary. Iām planning on taking at least all of my vacation and whatever sick days I can get at whatever job Iām at to volunteer to help WHOEVER is against trump.
I put a lot of effort for me into the 2018 midterms and it had a good outcome in a tight race. I really feel I made a nonzero difference and you all can too, if I can. Thereās no pointless votes.

Meh. HRC beat Trump by 3 million votes in the US while beating Trump by 4 million votes in CA, ie Trump won the rest of the US, ie votes in CA donāt mean anything in the general. Making calls to people in Wisconsin or something would be way more effective than voting in CA. A ballot gets mailed to my house though, so itās not like it really takes any effort to vote.

Yes, though in my district itās pretty locked up until you get to state assembly, which is a super-majority anyway, but there are local offices and ballot measures.
