Who will run in 2020?

This. And also – and I guess I don’t really care how this sounds – I kinda put a whole lot of value on not nominating another white male right now.

That said, I will certainly gleefully vote for literally almost any white guy if they have a chance of beating Trump.

Who knows where Pete is politically? I guess dive into what’s happened in South Bend if you want to know. Even then, was this his real job or just an audition? Either way, it’s a lot better source than his website or stump speech.

This is very broad and not informative. I tried finding polls to compare trump vs pete and trump vs sanders and there isn’t very convincing data out there. It’s too early.

I sense he resonates with a lot of people. That’s all I’m really saying.

isn’t part of the hillary myth that she didn’t really try in 2016?

I don’t really see anything in those quotations that supports your stance that he is anti-socialist. Unless your definition of socialism is a complete revocation of anything remotely capitalistic. His arguments seem perfectly well reasoned to me. it is eloquent, even.

Methinks these tests need questions like “Do you think Modi is a cool guy?”

Yeah Twitter is where I go for reliable and trustworthy takes.

Lol

(Other than Soledad)

yea we saw how well the minority vote worked out for dems in 2016. I don’t really understand (for PURELY political reasons, not moral ones) why we are counting that as a non-starter for a candidate in 2019.

If he is resonating with a very narrow range - why is he polling so well? Why is he up like ten points vs biden? Your stance just doesn’t make sense to me.

and I am saying I believe he does better in a national election than a guy in his 80’s who just had a heart attack. There isn’t really much data supporting either of our points.

Bernie is 78.

I am voting for bernie. I don’t aspire to be contrarian, but I do think there is a fair amount of “show your sources” to be had here.

It’s not that Warren blew it on health care (she did), it’s that she demolished her image as an unabashed liberal willing to burn it all down. Liberals are absolutely desperate for someone who shares their level of alarm and disgust, and who isn’t afraid. The out of the gates negotiation with herself in response to a few weak ass GOPete shots in a debate was fatal, and deservedly so.

Interesting. -7 and -7 here

Where did you see Chomsky’s score (or others)? I can’t find it on the site.

To be fair Jmakin is squarely in GOPetes wheelhouse so I definitely get it

Just put in your name and your scores here:

Yours should be right around Chomsky as well.

lol, this is a terrible mashup. I’m sorry if you made it. Did you? Or do I not get it? It seems like Joe is bad enough without needing splicing?

Perhaps the decline in the public’s opinion of M4a is because you have shitheads like Pete and Biden "BUT HOW ARE WE GONNA PAY FOR IT"ing the FUCK out of every public conversation. Goddammit, you assholes.

Ah, yes I am right on his face hahaha. Seems reasonably accurate I think. Being past Bernie surprises me, but I assume there’s a decent margin for error in this. Hillary further right on economic than Donald Trump makes sense, though.

Also, to those following at home, it’s worth clicking through just to see the caricature of Ayn Rand :joy:
