Remember that time that AOC endorsed a candidate and all the mainstream media hacks got on TV and said it was an anti-endorcement since the Crew was not really popular among Americans. Can Pelosi please endorse Buttigieg or something?

So glad this table was created in the first place

I guess iowan countertops are finally safe.

well after bernie wins and guillotines his wife he’ll probably have to find something, anyone know someone hiring 47-year-old English majors with no discernible skills or experience?

edit: had no idea if what I just wrote was true so after checking Beeto’s wikipedia page, uh,

" After graduation, O’Rourke worked as a live-in caretaker and art mover before working for an Internet service provider run by his uncle. He later took a position at H. W. Wilson Company as a proofreader, and wrote short stories and songs in his free time.

O’Rourke returned to El Paso in 1998. At first, he was working with computers as an inventory tracker at his mother’s upscale furniture store and living in an apartment building owned by his father. O’Rourke said he wanted to address brain-drain, or the exodus of youth caused by lack of opportunity. In 2000, he co-founded Stanton Street Technology Group, an Internet services and software company. With O’Rourke himself unable to obtain a loan, his father took out a $20,000 loan on his behalf. The company’s first client was O’Rourke’s mother’s furniture store. O’Rourke’s wife, Amy, operated the business until June 2017"

Isn’t this actually a failed replication?

Maybe, who knows (definitely not me). Mostly I was just thinking about him hitting the bricks passing out resumes for actual jobs, which is amusing to me. And sure, not realistic, I get that.

Struggled a million times harder?

Oops, you accidentally replied.

The majority of politicians are not filthy rich and work in the community’s they serve.

This is like every republican resume ever?

Now do Paul Ryan

Starting to get legit concerned it’s gonna be Biden/Warren/Bernie/GOPete. Biden drops out and everyone else stays in, letting GOPete consolidate the moderates and get the nomination.

Pete’s base support is a lot closer to Warren’s: whiter, more educated. As far as I know he continues to poll really poorly with minorities. Bernie polls best with younger minorities and Biden crushes with older minorities, so it’s not clear where Biden’s support goes if he collapses, my guess is some to Bernie but most to Warren because of name id?

The worst scenario for Warren would be that Pete takes enough from her to win IA, Bernie then wins NH, Biden crushes SC, that’s a perilous position for Warren to be in. Pete’s rise in IA is good for Pete and Bernie, bad for Biden and really bad for Warren.

Ultimately though, all of this ends up benefiting Biden the most, it’s one thing to just call Pete a moderate and it’s another thing to actually convert those votes. He has 0 name id in the communities where Biden is well known and does the best.

I legitimately hate Pete as a candidate. That disgraceful performance spouting GOP health care talking points - hard pass.

It’s disgraceful how much bullshit HOW WILL YOU PAY FOR IT is flying around. Absolutely infuriating. Bonus rage points for YES OR NO MIDDLE CLASS TAX INCREASE HUH???

And public support for single payer has only grown since then!

Putting this out there right now — the only way Dems will lose the presidency in 2020 (barring shenanigans) is if they run on focus-tested middle-of-the-road shit guaranteed not to inspire a single person. Be bold and aggressive in your policies, weak and milquetoast won’t win a thing.

How would Bernie Bros react if no one gets a majority and Pete trades his support to Warren for the VP slot?
