Yeah, I expect the polls are pretty close. The American base is that dumb and that explains why Trump and Biden have the most supporters in the country. Dumb, selfish, racist, etc.
It has more to do with the same reason most people on this forum have Warren as their number one.
They recognize how fucked everything is for poor people but they donāt quite trust them.

Yang is right in that there is no terrific answer to a bunch of waste sitting around in places like Hanford, Washington which would probably be better off in Nevada, but is dangerous and expensive to move and no one in Nevada wants it moved there.

Got me thinking about environmentalism and conservatism. The conservative āenvironmentalistsā or conservationists are about clean air and water, but only about pollution that you can see. Like they donāt believe it if you canāt see it, whether itās lead, ozone depletion, CO2 or radioactivity. Got me wondering if there was such a thing as germ denialism. Andā¦

Obviously they arenāt. My youngest brother was a full time volunteer for the Obama campaign in 2012 (he was actually pretty high ranking in the OH campaign infrastructure toward the end), and regular contact with core Democratic voters turned him off politics pretty hard. He still follows it but probably wonāt ever be directly involved. He wanted it to be his career too. Imagine being so soul crushed by the experience of retail politics that you decide to go be an actuary instead?

We did these career-aptitude tests in school and they said I should be an actuary. So we can pivot to mocking the profession of whoever puts together those recommendations. I am the peacemaker.
