Ah yes, another incident of not reading the actual article.
So. There are two employees in question here. Eric Mayefsky is the digital analytics adviser (whatever that is) for the campaign. Nina Wornhoff is the organizing data manager (whatever that is). Those two people worked at Quora/Facebook. They asked for a recommendation from their former employer. For those not willing to parse the article, here’s a thread w/ screenshots. Parker is not a Pete person, as far as I know.

Edited to add a much more impactful voice. this guy knows Silicon Valley:

The new poll put Biden at 18%, Warren at 17% and Buttigieg, the youngest candidate in the race, at 13%.
Let the rustling begin.
Gee, I wonder why this facebook thing was released today?

@skydiver8 Our healthcare system is not only a great system alough not perfect and could be improved, but a healthcare system were people take 100% pride in their jobs. Why anyone would think that its all OK to make a buck from a patient is horrifying to us UK’ers.
I have no doubt its going to be a long hard road in the US even if M4A is implemented because the USA has so many unwell folks who have abandoned their medical treatment for quick important fixes only, the system will be overloaded by millions of sick people so imo the only way to make it work is to make everything free for all, no more insurance period.
Then if the billionaires want their own hospitals then they can (and will) build their own in which then the Government should step in and make that billionaire hospital available for everyone.
A US national healthcare system will improve at the research level too if profits are removed, imo.
Accepting anything less imo is surrender to profit for life.
the answer here clearly is if you’re sick go move to the UK
Every time some idiot says something like ‘but X countries healthcare system is in big trouble because blah blah blah’ try to remember that they are usually spending <50% of what we are and the waiting periods are often better. In this country it’s super standard to wait a month or two for an appointment to open up.
People bitching about national healthcare in other countries doesn’t mean they don’t have it massively better than we do in the US. They have it massively better and still aren’t happy. People bitch a lot. Those same people would be absolutely horrified if they experienced healthcare in the US. It’s like how I can bitch about something in my life that is massively massively better than it is elsewhere. I’m not comparing the quality of the tap water at my house to the quality of tap water in Sri Lanka.
But everything bad that happens in this country is because of Russia!
Absolutely fucking unacceptable to suggest someone who served as a military officer might be a Russian asset.
Think this is one it’s best to sit out of bernie old buddy.
To be fair, I’m willing to consider that HRC is now a Russian asset too, because talk about lobbing an otherwise pointless hand grenade to polarize the hard left against the Democratic Party even more.
Grunching by about 150 posts…
Actually, M4A originally referred to single payer. Once the centrists realized the messaging was working, they mostly succeeded in making M4A mean “A Democratic healthcare plan.”
You know better, c’mon. Everyone here at UP is smart enough and has been exposed to the facts on the cost savings of M4A. Don’t try to fool us.
That’s unfair around here. There were those that always thought he was too moderate, and there were those of us who liked him a lot until his heel turn versus Warren on M4A.
We all know where the money is coming from, and we all know why she is being careful about how she says it.
My friend who likes Pete also keeps making this point and says Pete is doing us a favor. Problem is, it’s going to be even worse now when the GOP gets to hit us with “Even the liberal mayor guy knows this socialist plan will make your taxes go up!”
Pete’s disingenuous attacks make Warren/Bernie/M4A look more radical, and they’re going to end up helping protect the status quo on healthcare.
Yup, it’s definitely offensive to those of us who have been supportive of Pete’s candidacy up until this M4A attack, and the insinuations are not appreciated.
Lindsey Graham served in the Air Force (JAG). Confirmed not a Russian asset. Also confirmed massive tool.
Still grunching slightly…
That sounds expensive. How’s he going to pay for it? Will middle class taxes go up?
Most people in the real world are way less informed on the issues than this forum. I think Twitter is just more hostile in general.
LOL NYT running a “KLOB IS CATCHING ON IN IOWA BY BEING A REPUBLICAN” puff piece, GTFO what a disgrace of a newspaper
If anything, I think we’re being way to light on Pete regarding his closed door fundraisers in silicon valley (not to mention the ones on the east coast) and his subsequent Warren/Bernie attacks.
The Zuckerberg staff recommendations and hires are just another log on a healthy fire, not the core story.
If Warren or Bernie were having closed door fundraisers of questionable nature, and then they pivoted to attacking progressive ideals with GOP talking points that we all know are flawed, then I hope we would turn on them equally as fast.
Guess Bernie is gearing up for a 3rd party run.
Must. Step. Up. Internet. Criticism.
