Only 50% of the population goes to college… and the group that has most of the loans are the middle class and lower middle class kids least likely to be able to recoup the cost of the loan. Also there are few people as screwed as some poor bastard with 30k in loans and no degree because he or she dropped out.
It’s a right wing talking point claiming that student loan forgiveness is helping the already privileged. The already privileged don’t have loans.
