No Florida city should be on any list as a place that might be remotely walkable. Miami and Tampa are insane. Like, Maybe you could pick one of the new urbanism cities in the panhandle like Seaside, but those hardly qualify as cities on the global scale. Wtf are these people on?

I grew up in Detroit and as a kid, it was very walkable. I could walk to school, to the candy store, the bowling alley, golf course, movie theatre, drug store, department store…really anyplace a kid would want to go. It was great for that reason. Then we moved to Florida. Mom or dad would have to drive me to the school bus stop, and it would take me a half hour to walk out of my subdivision, which I never even attempted to do. I could only go places by myself again when I turned 16 and got a driver’s license and a car.
