I was so disappointed a few days ago when the dad of one of my daughter’s friends posted on Facebook a picture of a Babylon Bee book that he got for Christmas and how excited he was about it.

I don’t understand what level The Babylon Bee is on, and I think they play it more than one way. I’ve both laughed and vomited.

On The Media had an interview with the editor of the Babylon Bee and he 100% tried to play both sides of the field.

I think he’s right. If you think school closures are a disastrous, Iraq-level policy failure you should probably reflect a little further.

You can pretty much tell how big a useless remora on society someone is by how hard they are trying to cajole everyone into OFB and OFS.

In terms of negative political impact on the people making that policy decision, school closures are probably bigger than Iraq.

childless, dead inside Nate Silver has noodled a bit and decided that a year of remote learning is the equivalent of the invasion, occupation, and destabilization of a country of 40 million for going on 20 years now, including all deaths and dismemberments.

what a fucking loser ass toolbag. dude gonna be found dead with a gas mask on and equipped air hose inserted firmly in his rectum

Iraq was a huge positive for the people who made that policy decision. They’d do it every year if they could.

Should tweet that back to him with a DUCY at the end

I’ve been saying this for years, glad that you guys have finally caught up to me on disliking Nate Silvers. Like the dude averaged polls together, fucken revolutionary, right?

It’s when he tried to do more than average polls that he started going astray. Stick to the maths nerd!

don’t worry guys, we still have former journalists like this posting takes, and not a moment too early, 14 months after the election.

I love to dunk on Nate as much as the next person, but I must grudgingly tip my cap to him.

He was able to parlay math nerd skills into fame and (I assume) fortune.

I guess we can say he luckboxed it, but I don’t think was entirely luck.

So now he runs around with awful takes and and even worse haircut, and I’ll definitely LOL at that stuff. But he still won with a hand that a lot of us were dealt, so it’s hard not to feel a bit jelly.
