Watched the new documentary about Roy Cohn last night. Tons of interesting stuff, but most relevant to this thread is how many of the semi-mythologizing newspaper clips they showed from the 70’s and 80’s era (when Cohn was hanging out at Studio 54, defending mob bosses, and meeting Donald Trump), were written by Dean Baquet. It made me think that the dude just worships the folks who were big power players when he was a cub reporter and the tactics they used.

Seriously to think I used to consider them the newspaper of record. I don’t care how much I want to believe what they just wrote… the chances it’s just bullshit are super high.
