MGM and Hyatt partnership ending, fucking yikes from me as hyatt → mgm gold status match for waived resort fees was pretty much the only thing keeping me going to vegas on the regular
I hope Vegas fixes this shit:
The check in process is always the most miserable part of going there. I usually stay at the Flamingo which has Kiosks which usually aren’t too bad but I wasn’t aware that those tend to dish out shittier rooms. The couple times I’ve stayed at the Tropicana (not usually my choice) it was over an hour wait to check in. The lines weren’t even that bad, they just had very few people working and the check in process was slow as shit.
I stay at MGM properties because I can check in on my phone and use a digital key without visiting the front desk.
I don’t understand how a city like this doesn’t have automated check-in and phone based keys. Housekeeping have Ipads, they mark off every room that is finished, finished rooms get pushed to people who have checked in at kiosks in the lobby, phone is used as a key, voila no more fucking lines.
Its one of the largest tourist cities in the entire world, how is this not a thing yet? Maybe spend some of my hotel service fee on making this a reality.
See, there ya go
Oh! I’ve been looking for an LV local. Got a friend moving to the area trying to decide between Summerlin and Henderson. Any insight from someone that lives in proximity? Not a huge strip goer but will want to go every so often. Looking for a local casino that has 3/2 BJ and decent poker nearby. Wants to be nearer to some decent/good dispensaries. Kid in high school. Wants good thai food nearby.
Here are the places with 3/2 blackjack. Not that many poker rooms. Can’t help you on dispensaries.
When I think Locals (not the strip) Poker I think of 5 places mainly. Boulder Station, Red Rock, The Orleans, Southpoint, and Sante Fe, I would pick somewhere in Summerlin if I wanted to be able to hit up Red Rock. You will also have better access to incredible outdoor recreation. But Henderson not a bad place to live (7 years near Sunset/Stephanie) but seems further away from poker.
We could debate where I want to live to hit up the strip casinos the easiest and I am not sure there’s a great place to get access. It could be east/west side depending on which rooms you want to play.
I think Sotuh/Mid strip is best for poker right? Is Aria/Bellagio better than Venetian?
Venetian is more local friendly because parking is free and you can avoid driving central strip. What stakes does your friend want to play?
Vegas weed is insanely expensive, so if he smokes a lot I would recommend finding another source.
Venetian not free for much longer.
Really? Where is free parking on the strip? And whats an uber price like from Henderson or Summerlin to Venetian?
Hes in Cali, I doubt weed is any more expensive in Vegas
2/5 , 5/10 occasional nightlies
I might be heading to vegas sometime later this summer. Is there anywhere that spreads a 20-40 or higher limit hold 'em besides Bellagio? Do they even still offer it?
I tried signing up for the bravo web app and it wouldn’t let me. It said I was rejected due to “spam risk” or something along those lines.
I can assure you that weed is MUCH more expensive in Vegas. If your friend smokes a lot, he should not be buying from Vegas stores.
5/T limits you to Wynn, Bellagio, and Aria, I think. Places with 2/5 and a nightly tournament include Orleans, Caesars, and Resorts World.
As far as I know, Bellagio is the only place that regularly has LHE above 8-16.
Thanks. I thought so, but decided to check.
Maybe I’ll run into Mason.
