I’d gone down the Jason Richardson wormhole at utube a couple years back. There’s a pretty cool documentary about his journey there. The 1st half of the vid you posted is interesting and the guy is an amazing technician, but alas he doesn’t do enough for me. Some of his rhythm playing is unreal like most of those djent cats, but his lead play ain’t there yet.
That 1st track is cool. Got that church-type vibe thing goin’. Reminds me of Type O Negative’s Christian Woman
Tribe was so great and I really have no idea why. There rhymes were goofy af but they were so organic and charismatic that I can’t not enjoy listening to them.
