This was submitted to my Walrus and I still kind of dig it, even if I do agree with you about the genre being very meh.
Boo this man! I usually only half watch the videos since I listen at work but I did catch the “coming up next Insane Clown Posse” banner on this one, heh.
I’ll most likely be tucked up in bed for the final reveal, so I think the best thing to do is post the scores with Jokers now so you can work it out for yourselves. (That way there’s not some hanging about till I reveal it anti-climatically when you’re all in bed.)
It doesn’t change much, but here it is officially. Still three folk bang in with a shout, and a couple more who could take it with a remarkable upset.
Pretty ballsy for a couple of people to use my category as a joker. This is only the first time I’ve done a walrus grab bag. Even before this, I played twice.
Ok, overall some good stuff in this walrus. Not a ton of separation and could def rank in many different orders on a different day of the week. But this is Thursday and these are today’s ranking
I had 2 instrumental submissions and posted to ask for resends. One did one didn’t. Not surprisingly, the lone instrumental finds itself getting dropped as a 1 pointer. Not bad for an instrumental, and maybe could be in some scene at the village fair in a movie, but not what I’m looking for.
The penultimate song is mostly an instrumental as well, but has some ok singing in it and is an ok song, but again not what i’m looking for. I figure this for the background of a scene in a cop procedural show, not a fantasy movie, nor do I see the Celtic/Nordic influence, tho prolly just missing it.
The final podium spot goes to a song that is a fun song that may usually rank a good bit higher, but everything above it could really go anywhere in the rankings after this and this isn’t quite in that range. But in the right mood, it’s great
