That’s loud alright.
I like it but anything outside of rock/metal is probably struggling in this category.
I am surprised there are still people left who don’t know this song.

I was always going to fall this category. This is loud compared to what I normally listen to, but Barry Manilow is fucking loud if you turn it up to 11.
I am pretty sure I just got a close up look at a man’s anus in this video.
Bronze medal (10 points):
NoMeansNo - It’s Catching Up
Love the tempo changes in this one. And great use of “fucked”. Probably would have done well in CanadaMatt’s category last time about that. This is great hardcore punk.
Just arrived ZOMG REVEALZ!
Before I start scrolling towards inevitable disappointment I will say the trouble I had here is picking which of many many “fucking loud” things I wanted to submit to put forward here.
Regardless of where I finish I am looking forward to this reveal most in terms of stuff I expect to add to my own playlist. Rad category, Mr Booger sir.
As I have said before I struggled with this category. “Something loud” should be a lay-up for a metal/rock fan but wasn’t because of the “all the time” part and “no growls” part. All songs it seemed were pick 2 out of 3.
Getting desperate I started googling, found this, liked it, submitted it. Quite happy with 4th place given the circumstances.
This choice reminds me of the time my wife was searching for songs with our daughter’s name, found one that was like a little bit growly that she liked, and immediately e-mailed her coworker who is into hard rock and metal to see if he knew the band. I was like “Ummm honey this is not metal and also it’s probably a Christian rock band based on their sound.”
Agree this is kind of sweet but not at all loud, rip.
Silver medal (11 points):
Relative Ash - Bounce
The rhythm of this is very Deftones-esque. The singer is something different than that…I think. He’s doing lots of stuff here. Screaming, not screaming, regular singing. Liked the fast paced changes more with re-listens.
Oh ship my #1 pick! First time I got first place in a walrus.
And the gold medal and 12 points goes to…
Virgin Snatch - Face In The Dirt
I only got a Spotify link for this song, so I had to find a Youtube link. Best thing I could find was a link to the full album, which I’ve pasted such that it should start at the correct time (1:17-5:07). Anyway, these drums and these guitars that kick this off are what I was looking for with this category. Keeps up the loudness and energy the whole time. Wire-to-wire winner.
I originally sent in the album but I guess it was switched out for a Spotify link.
Dig this - into playlist.
Awwww yissss. Playlist for you!
Oh wow this is weird! I got quite into their first album (or some of it) damn near 20 years ago and they were very low profile at the time.
Also zomg podium?!?!?!
It’s me! Ya boi seities!!! Glad you liked it - or liked it enough to give 2nd at least. I could have submitted dozens of songs for this, but I decided to go for this one since I felt like it was unlikely to be something you heard and just felt like the “loud” was really ramped through the song without being a constant.
Oh boy! Nice one. Interesting you chose this as the winner, definitely have a lot of punk hardcore that I decided to abstain from for you. Cool song, grats on the win!
This rocks. Best song in the category.
Thanks for the reveal eyebooger! What a way to start the weekend.
I’ll take it! Glad you liked it.
Ok Louis…this podiuming has to stop.
Loud as an adjective rather than adverb, I think. All songs can be loud. Some songs are loud.
I didn’t find this to be that much louder than the other songs you penalized for not being loud enough. I think it would be perfectly at home on an EA sports game soundtrack. Seems like it got a familiarity bump iyam. Video is pretty good at least.
Now this is loud
Yeah that makes sense. I’m glad you liked it though
