The problem is it rewards the lower scorers in the tiebreak scenario, as last place got their score bumped up the most and on up to first who got no bump
Why not just score them 1-13?
If 2 players alternated 1/2 every category then at end they should be tied but with this scoring the one who got 2nd in this category would win by a fraction, which is a bit arbitrary. With 1-13 they’d just tie, which is what is expected.
It’s not that everyone apart from first place got ‘bumped up’, e.g. last place got 0.92 points.
But, it’s not my decision or anything. I’ll wait for other suggested scoring strategies or comments, then if it seems clear we prefer Nick’s way we’ll do that, or I’ll stick up a vote.

I don’t really care either but 1-13 is the same as a normal round in the end, right? Everyone gets an extra point so it’s a wash.
I’m not sure what the correct way of seeing it is to judge from, but not sure everyone can be getting an ‘extra’ point given someone is getting one point, but whatever, I’ll do it that way later.

Not bad for “metal”…really this is in the same category as something like Evanescence if you ask me. Slightly harder popular rock with a little bit of gentle screaming. I like it but I think the last song was better.
I think I would enjoy listening to this more in a video game than I would listening to it at my computer.

I was prepared to be annoyed but this was honestly a pretty dull song. 52M views was surprising although I vaguely feel like I’ve heard it before. Should’ve submitted a better Misfits song imo (but being performed by AFI):

I think just awarding 13 points for first place is the cleanest way to do it. First place beat 12 people so that’s what they should get, 12+1 points. Similarly for every other place.
The only place where it makes a difference is for the joker scoring. If someone picked this category for their joker they can get 6.5 instead of 6 points like in the other categories. If cassette picked a different joker category that’s already a moot point.
