I honestly thought that was unbeatable. It’s like literally one of the best songs ever recorded.

I didn’t write the thing so I can say that without sounding ridiculous, right?

In 5th place earning 7 points

We Are Scientists - Nobody Move, Nobody Get Hurt

A classic for this era/genre. Very solid submission.

Can you expand on this a bit? Like what makes it so good iyo?

Sincere question, as I dont know what differentiates a good from an all timer in this category.

Ok I’ll try not to be totally insufferable and start saying, “Now how in the hell did this beat On The Water by The Walkmen?!?”

Good choice, I liked that one.

In 4th place earning 8 points

Broken Bells - After the Disco

Of course I would love this knowing my love of The Shins. Random note, but one of my favorite concerts I ever went to was The Shins at The Rave in Milwaukee.

Continuing your streak of top 5 finishes without a single top 2

I have a feeling you might not appreciate some of the podium either.

I’ve heard of and am a little familiar with almost all of these bands (except Hop Along) but I don’t think I know any of the songs since the first two.

Random tie in to We Are Scientists, early in their career they played some shows with Editors who has a great song from this era that would have been a strong submission. So bonus track for this round pre-podium.

Going for 3 wins, let’s do this!
