It’s not as hard as people make it out to be. If you get stuck on a boss, just look at a youtube of someone beating it. You can cheese basically all the bosses.
Not to spoil anything, but there is a section fairly early where you need to sneak around to avoid something that definitely will kill you - that was the most anxiety ive ever experienced in a video game.
Best advice I got from this thread was to tap forward when doing a Mikiri counter. It starts out really hard when trying normal game mechanics but once you get good at countering and parrying, this game is so much fun. One of my favorites.
Anyone here ever play HOI4? I’ve been getting into it and it might be a pretty fun multiplayer for this group if anyone’s interested. I’ve only ever played single player though.
jfc Activision Blizzard doesn’t want people to play their games, apparently.
My kid wanted to play Warzone with me, so I installed it. First, I had to create an Activision account before I played, even though I was already logged into Blizzard. Ok, fine.
Then I tried to play again and it said I needed to have a phone number associated with account for security. Literally wouldn’t let me play without it. Ok, I added my cell to my Blizzard account (not the new Activision account because nothing makes sense). It sent a code to my phone and when I entered the code, it said number was associated with another account.
We realized I had put it on my son’s account at some point, so we deleted it from there and put it on mine (we’re going to use my wife’s number on his account). Got the code, entered it, and was informed that the phone number HAD ALREADY been associated with an account, so I’m shit out of luck. I literally cannot play the game unless I use someone else’s phone number.
Picked up Control because it’s on sale and I’m surprised this game didn’t get more buzz. It’s a trippy sci-fi-horror shooter with a visual style heavily influenced by Kubrik, Panos Cosmatos, and a healthy dash of X-Files.
Accidentally getting the digital only version of the Xbox one last year was a crushing mistake. Like I could get PGA 2021k for 25 or less on gamestop right now, but ofc it’s 60 for the digital version. Fuck this shit.
He’s watched the first couple episodes of both X-Files and Fringe and very much enjoyed them. We just haven’t gone back to keep watching for whatever reason. Showed him a couple age-appropriate Black Mirror episodes, as well.
I’ve thought about showing him 2001. Might be a bit too long and trippy, not sure. We signed up for the $2/month Hulu deal, so my wife has introduced him to Lost, which he is liking.
