Someone needs to make a FPS that indoctrinates kids into left-wing politics.
Overwatch would be the closest right now. That itās inclusive really tilts some gamer boys.
I know it sounds crazy, but I still play it almost every day. Itās like my security blanket. My son and I played āTotal Mayhemā mode the other day, where your ability cooldowns are crazy short and everyone has a lot more health. Itās basically chaos. It was really fun. I was Sombra and he was Doomfist - I kept hacking people and he would just beat the shit out of them.
me too but more like weekly, I have a ridiculous amount of fun playing ~3-5 hours a week, and I donāt even play FPSes really.
Yeah I was a massive COD fan in the glory years and Iām pretty sure the original Black Ops had a single player campaign full of the same kind of shit people are talking about now.
Anyone ever play the Americaās Army game that was around 15-20 years ago? It was an FPS made by the Army specifically as a recruitment tool
yea I played Americas Army a little, game was trash though so i dont think it got much traction.

Yeah, that cheesed me off when I was playing Dark Souls. Deliberately making the game mechanics obscure is a cheap way of adding difficulty to the game.

I always knew that, like with some of their other games, Blizzard ahem āborrowedā heavily from the Alien franchise when they created Starcraft. But this weekend I watched Aliens Directors Cut for the first time in over 20 years. I got to the scene where they are heading down to the planet and I hear the pilot say āWeāre in the pipe, five by fiveā and did a full on double-take. In all these years and all the times Iāve played SC Terrans I never even once connected the phrase to that film. They lifted it straight from the movie! It even sounds like the exact same actorās voice and everything.
And then guys like that doofus Alex Kurtzman steal from video games. Like, apparently Star Trek Picard is a straight up rip off of Mass Effect 3? Didnāt watch Picard or play Mass Effect so I canāt say for sure.
I remember wanting to join the air force because of the movie āTop Gunā. Good thing I got into drinking beer and being lazy in high school.

Blizzard has never been shy about appropriating pop culture references for its video games. World of Warcraft is lousy with examples of it, I doubt we could even list them all. But thatās the only instance I can recall where they straight copied something outright. I wonder if they got permission.
Apparently Picard is about a race that exterminates all artificial life every few thousand years. Is that mass effect?

I havenāt played through the series in a while but kind of, there is a group of super robots alien things that want to wipe out all organic life and your character has a chance to stop them or you can let them go ahead and do it because lol humans. Great games
Super alien robots wiping out all organic life is straight up ripped off from Fred Saberhagenās Beserker novels. So I guess itās all stolen.
Apparently the EA Play collection is coming to Game Pass PC in December - Mass Effect is included, Iām looking forward to trying them out at some point. A bunch of Star Wars games will be available too, including Fallen Order.

Any streamers know if thereās a software that lets you stream like you do on Twitch, but to any platform? Like it shows you in the corner or at the bottom of the screen and the rest of the screen is your desktop with the game youāre playing displayed.
The series is being remastered and released in 2021, Iām pumped to replay it, was one of my favorites from the past 10 years
