Didn’t Halo have some element of this too? I played it after Mass Effect and remember them being at least passingly similar.

Black Friday time! Who is adding to their massive backlogs for no particular reason? I picked up Sekiro for $25 since that has been my no.1 wanted game for a while, also got FFX and X-2 for the Switch. My wishlist for the Switch is blowing up but of course the discounts are kind of weak, so I’m not tempted on much else despite having a bunch of eshop credit.

Mass Effect took from the Revelation Space series pretty heavily as well. Revelation Space series - Wikipedia

AC Odyssey is on sale for 15 on Xbox so I picked that up.

OBS should. You just need a link to the site and an api key I believe. Maybe just the api key.

Out of stock in 2 minutes, between wife and me we had 5 browsers and 2 phones trying to checkout and no luck. Good system we have here.

I call bullshit on 2 minutes. I had infinity browser windows open doing a cascade refresh 30 seconds before 9:00. Got an add to cart that went to captcha screen maybe 10 seconds past 9:00 clock that I solved in under 2 seconds. Then it “thought” for maybe 10-15 seconds before throwing an error.

Anyone tried Last Oasis? PVP looks wonky but people who like the game love it and say it’s why they play the game. Tempted but know it will be a grind.

Apparently there was an affiliate link that crushed. Bypasses all of the bullshit and goes straight to cart.

“You can no longer mistake your child for a serial killer” lul

There are multiple waves of this thing appearing on Walmart. I have one in my cart and get frozen at “confirm order” or w/e.

@grue

There might be a 4th wave coming. People are saying this affil link is really fast:

Full
https://affil.walmart.com/cart/buynow?items=363472942

Digital
https://affil.walmart.com/cart/buynow?items=493824815

cool will try that IDK. With some experimentation I was able to add items to cart from the command line to both Target and Walmart to my surprise and will just make a quick script that hits that every 0.5 seconds when a drop comes who knows.

Can you get all the way through with scripts or just add to cart? Wouldn’t you have to pass it oauth or something for the account?

I could get through if I bothered to spend a bunch of time on it with no guarantees but you can just “copy as curl for bash” from right click in the network traffic and it will pass your session/auth along with it. Seems like just getting to add to cart is the big hurdle though.

Nah I got 2 carts manually. Captchas can kill you. It strangely forgetting your CC info or shipping address can kill you. CC declining for “fraud” can kill you. Wal-mart can cancel it too. Have seen ppl get burned by all of those.

*There are a lot of screens after the cart page. I had a review order screen that hung for maybe 10 seconds then said “error” on the 3rd wave at 9:40.

Hmmmmm ok I’ll spend some more time on it. I do remember it losing my shipping info despite it being saved in my profile yeah. Let me see if I can get it to uh sell me something and ship it out via command line.

Fuck I just added another one to cart that I’d have to drive like an hour to get but got miraged at the buy button again. I don’t even actually want one of these things and will give it away, just wanna win because I hate losing.

*Looks like a ton of ppl are getting cancel emails now lolol. I actually love this shit it’s so 2020.

lol - I was just looking at my Comcast account and decided to check my Comcast e-mail account that I think I’ve looked at once in my life. Last year, I got on a roll, downloading lots of old console games, mainly Gamecube and Dreamcast, to then either burn onto disk or play in a Wii emulator.

There’s a DMCA notice in my inbox from last year telling me to delete a Gamecube game from my computer. Looks like Nintendo saw that it was downloaded from my IP address.
