I’ve been enjoying Ghost of Tsushima on the PS4. Slaughtering folk as a samurai is more fun than I thought, and the scenery is fantastic. I even like the short side jobs where you have to follow different animals around to shrines.
You can usually pet the fox after you find the shrine.
Oh I pet the fox, sir. Then I find a scenic perch and compose nebulous, disjointed haiku. Slap that doggerel on a headband and then I’m back to cowardly stabbing Mongols in the back, retreating to the forest until the victim’s buddies stop looking for me, and scampering back to stab another one. And another one.
EDIT: With honor.
Videogames need more haiku-composing minigames. I’ve been saying this for a while now.
All your drone hacking and spider upgrades apply to all characters. Early on, I liberated all the boroughs and got all the tech points to upgrade everything. In the end, I pretty much entered every mission as a hitman. They have giant machine guns that tear everyone apart. The later missions would be near impossible with the non-lethal stun weapons.
Did something I’ve never done before. Since computer I was playing Hades on died, I double dipped and bought Hades on Switch. Forgot there was a hell mode when you first choose your settings. Hell Mode might as well have been, hey you bought this on a second console, you want to feel like a noob again? Yeah hell mode has been kicking my ass. Hades is so good though.
Has there been any word on additional console ports? A Switch exclusive for a PC game seems really odd to me.
Snagged a ps5 on the Sony site today. Time to die on repeat on DS.
Did you log into your PlayStation account to get it?
Yeah through ps direct. The reddit thread is helpful. Sony finally fixed the queue with a captcha to limit boys.
Link(s) plz?

And just Google Playstation Direct. No idea when they’re back in stock but today I randomly woke up and logged into the queue and it was there.
hah well I can at least get to the site but its out of stonks so um I guess I’ll just refresh it on occasion and then buy one in February.
Yes I think the way it works is when it finally does let you sign in, as it did for me just now, that is your signal that they are now out of stock, as I also was informed just now.
From their FAQ: “We’ll be considering opportunities to bring the game to additional platforms down the line.”
As someone who primarily buys games on Switch now I’ve noticed that some games only release on PC and Switch, I wonder if smaller developers think their game is more likely to gain traction on the Switch as opposed to the other big consoles. Of course Supergiant is not exactly a “small developer” and has experience with PS4/Xbox so unclear what their decision making was; maybe Nintendo threw some some $$ to port to them? Seems like Hades has been a huge hit there.
Grats! This thread has gotten me hyped for the PS5 for no particular reason since I don’t actually want one at the moment.
Thanks. Didn’t know I wanted one until I couldn’t have one!
Haptic controls taking on a whole new meaning.
