Have you tried the new the last of us yet? Metascore / user score disparity seems quite odd.
I wouldnāt worry about the terrible user reviews such a hyped up game, I suspect like 95% of them couldāve written their āreviewā before the game came out. Theyāre just being contrarian trolls for the sake of it, and I say this as someone who loves video games and could not care less about TLOU2. Iām sure itās great if youāre inclined to like it.
Do you like card games? Have you tried Gwent? (itās free-to-play)
Yep, loved the first even though the combat was a bit lacking. I guess bunch of those user scores are anti-sjw and trolls as you said. I pre-ordered tlou2 (fish move) but thereās no way I can find time for it before August, so most likely Iāll watch a playthrough in twitch, sigh.
I wish theyād make a pay version so Iām not the product. Damn Poles. Is the Gwent from the AppStore the same as in game, where Northern Empires and Nilfguard are almost unbeatable by the three other decks? The same decks or are there new factions and new cards?
I think itās the same game, but Nilfgard poison decks are way overpowered right now. Theyāll probably get nerfed at the next update.
dammit. Still, Iāve always been in the ādelay it to get it rightā camp.
I used to follow game media pretty closely, but I found it really ruined my enjoyment of games when they inevitably failed to live up to all the breathless hype.
I havenāt read much about Cyberpunk (the details) but I am looking forward to it. I just hope I donāt go trying to compare it with the Witcher games at every turn.
I have Witcher 3 saved on Xbox game pass. Should I play it on console or PC?
I always prefer PC for my RPGs, but itās pretty good for either I think. Itās a gorgeous game, especially the Blood and Wine expansion, so if you like super high rez graphics/screenshots, I recommend PC.
Iāve got nothing against card games, but I avoided gwent every chance I could in Witcher. I just didnāt have any interest in a card game that might require some thought when I could run around some beautiful cartoon landscape fighting things. Thereās some task I did recently where you are absolutely forced to play gwent and I forfeited the game, giving up 5% of my wealth LOL.
I did the same thing, probably played less than 5 Gwent games in my 150 hours of Witcher 3 playing.
A couple hours into TLOU2 and it is all I expected, wish the wife was out of town so i could play 20 hours this weekend
Still not the biggest fan of the control scheme in TLOU2 but after playing Uncharted 4 itās a lot less cumbersome than I remember the first one being.
OK, I have no idea what Iām doing in Crusader Kings 2, but Iām having fun stirring up drama and imprisoning my in-laws. Also, thereās this:
You sound like me heh. Iām the worst about impulse-buying a bunch of shit and then never getting around to playing it. I got Witcher 3 off Gog like a year and a half ago and STILL have not played it. Iāve always regretted not getting it for PS4, though. It seems like a really couchtastic title a la Skyrim and I canāt sit for hours at a keyboard anymore like I used to unless itās a game like EU4 where itās all mouse work.
I also got Farcry 4 from the bargain bin at a local game shop a year or so ago and have only played through the opening scenes. Iāve only gotten through the first chapter or whatever itās called of Borderlands 2. I was wanting to get a PS5 but honestly itās such a waste for me because thereās so much good existing stuff out there now that I still havenāt touched.
Yeah everyone raves about TLOU story and itās certainly solid but I donāt think itās even THAT good, itās just people elevating it because theyāre grading it on a gaming curve. The gameplay is pretty mediocre imo, the stealth combat isnāt too bad but there are a lot of boring stretches.
Odyssey was the last thing I got for my PS4 but for some reason I havenāt been able to get through anything on that system in months to years, so I basically didnāt get out of the first area. Hopefully Iāll get back to it and all the other stuff I didnāt complete at some point since I wonāt be getting a PS5.
I did exactly the same. I reallly didnt like the combat in the first one.
Combat in part 2 is better overall, but still a bit cumbersome
TLOU is a canāt miss game.
The Outer Wilds is excellent for those that like puzzles/exploration games.
^ ya just came out on steam and on sale for $17 so grabbed it.
I made it like 10 hours into TLOU for PS3 back in the day and got tired of grubbing around in dirt trying to craft nail bombs or something and gave up. No regrets.
I am a big fan of TLOU but I donāt have a PS4 so I watched the entire play-through of TLOU2. Iām not surprised that people hate it.
