Yeah one of the great things about DC is you can make incremental progress no matter what but again be ready for the 2BC wall of “wait it takes 6 hits to kill anything?” without the forge, once you max the forge its back to 1-3 even at 5BC.
Skydiver probably has more to say about DOS2 but for me was two things, first off mouse & keyboard was so much better than controller - you spend an assload of time doing slot and inventory management and it really sucks without drag/drop. Also (duh) make a balanced team/read what that is. Don’t let the party members pick their own roles.
Let us know what you think. I’m sure it will get rave critic reviews but I’m one of the few people who didnt like TLOU outside of the first ten minutes. The combat just never felt right.
Definitely read/watch a build guide. And yeah, you want to play it on PC w/ a keyboard.
My first playthrough I chose one of the “origin” characters (you can choose their class, etc, but their story is fixed and they have specific voice acting, etc). Second time through I made my own. They do a great job tailoring the experience based on who you pick and who you take along in your party. All of the potential companions have personal quests that tie in with the main story really well, and last throughout the game. Take whoever appeals to you (but one of them should definitely be the undead guy if you don’t choose to play him as your main).
I didn’t love it either, thought it was a solid game with a good story but it just wasn’t that exciting to play. I think my favorite part of the game was the inventory management lol.
Fantastic game. Yes, it follows the all too familiar corridor simulator feel of recent Final Fantasies, but as someone who grew up with FFVII, the game is very faithful.
Going in, I did not know that this was only the first part of X number of parts, so when it ended I was shocked (especially since a certain event hadnt happened yet) though not super surprised since it took me roughly 40-60 hours.
I was kind of late to play it, but Witcher 3 is easily one of my favorite games ever. It certainly lives up to the hype, and I’m only just now starting the expansion packs. It still looks great, and the combat combo of sword fighting and magic seems to work exceptionally well. I only play probably 2 PS4 games a year, so I’ve probably missed some good ones, but man Witcher has been fun and a great time waster during lock down. Of course sometimes you get high and order several games, so next up I’m choosing between Red Dead II, Far Cry 5, and God of War. I’ve had Red Dead forever but forgot I had it. I played Far Cry 4 and had a good time baiting animals to attack people, so I ordered FC5.
This is the same group that made Witcher 3 right? The concept of that game doesn’t sound great to me but I’m ordering it for sure after how much I’ve enjoyed killing things with Geralt.
If I had to pick one game to play on my PS4 it would be God of War but admittedly I didn’t play either of the other games and I also couldn’t get through The Witcher 3, although I need to give it another shot at some point. I’ve heard some people say that the expansions are actually the best part! I loved The Witcher 2 but as I’ve gotten older I have more difficulty with games that feel like they take more than an hour to achieve anything. Some people would probably prefer Red Dead to GoW but I had the same problem with the original RDR as I did with Witcher 3. Pretty sure all the Far Cry games are exactly alike except the weird ones so may as well space them out as much as possible.
