Having the same problem.
One more week until TLOU 2
Iām looking forward to TLOU2, but this is hilarious:
So hyped for Friday. Donāt think Iāve had this much anticipation for a game since Xenosaga Ep. III way back in 2006.
30 hours into Divinity: Original Sin 2 and uh man I want to like this game but its just so slow and you have to do so much āmicroā yeah Iām too old to look up all this stuff and remember a fuck load of things just to get through it. Anyone play this and have a different experience?
Any Gwent players out there? I was super into this game when it was in an open beta phase, which is weird because Iām normally not competitive at all when it comes to games. I took a very long break from it and after several expansions Iāve gotten hooked again. Thereās a new expansion at the end of this month featuring Gaunter OāDimm that Iām crazy hyped for.
Basically if you like CCGs or youāre just really into The Witcher, this is worth checking out.
I was super hyped for the first one but I donāt think I even made it 10 hours before getting bogged down with minutiae and giving up. Iāve been told that 2 is a vast improvement and was planning on getting it at some point but it sounds like it suffers from the same issues.
Been playing Dead Cells like crazy, got my first boss cell yesterday. Still havenāt figured out a few things that seem important but I usually wait until Iām completely stuck to look anything up, still in discovery mode.
Its good, maybe really good, but yeah thereās just so much to it and Iām not sure I have the patience for it. I think Iām gonna restart and follow a guide on the other monitor and maybe try keyboard/mouse over controller and see how that goes.
Its basically:
Everyone hits a wall on 2BC when monsters have way more health than you can do damage due to shitty forge.
Thatās exactly the kind of thing Iām glad someone told me because I wouldāve never figured it out lol, thanks. I assume Iām still missing some runes but I got one that I assume will help with that.
My wife (45) likes games on her phone and likes hexcell type games. And boggle and euchre.
What games on ps4 would appeal to a moderately cool wife
To play alone or with others? My wife doesnāt like any form of games (she used to like Tetris but doesnāt play it anymore) and she loves the Jackbox Party Packs, although theyāre mostly meant for groups. Drawful in particular is a favorite.
I tried it for a while but was already dabbling with Elder Scrolls Legends at the time plus was still playing Hearthstone so it never stuck
Probably solo for her or play with me and a few others
She doesnāt really do elder scrolls type games. Just seeing if there is any benefit for her for ps4
Do I just need to unlock the first level of forge (500 cells) or should I just grind the whole thing out as quickly as possible? I did the first level but next one seems like itās going to take forever.
haha, Iām on my 3rd playthrough. I love DOS2. I havenāt loved a game this much since Dragon Age: Origins.
But I love isolinear turn-based RPGs like this, from the original Baldurās Gate all the way to this. Larian is making Baldurās Gate 3 and if itās anything like DOS2, Iām hyped.
The tactics and battle setup you find annoying is what I love about it. I love that nearly everything is interactable and you can use the environment in cool ways in combat.
Look up some guides for some tricks to make life easier, too.
I donāt know about grind exactly just play the game normally and donāt spend cells until after 1st boss and if youāre confident 2nd boss. 1st 2 levels of the forge should go fast. 3rd/last is the real grind. You can only unlock them at certain boss cell thresholds.
I restarted DOS2 and followed a build guide and WOW was I ever wrong - this game is amazing. Loving it, every part of it. Not sure what I was thinking the first time.
haha told you. Itās really fun. Like I said, it is making me super excited for BG 3. Larian has always been one of those smaller studios that puts out great things. DOS1 and 2 were both kickstarter games, if you can believe it.
Thanks! I think Iām going to finish knocking out the permanent upgrades at The Collector since theyāll go so much faster than the Forge but then start working on that again. Also good advice for when I eventually buy DOS2. Skydiver mentioning it in the same sentence as DA:Origins is very positive since I also love that game and almost did a second playthrough of it, which I almost never do. What were you doing wrong on your first playthrough so I donāt make the same mistake?
