Wtf did I just watch

It’s Edmund McMillen’s (Binding of Isaac) new game!

I just got no sense of what kind of game it is. Turn-based strategy? Given the name, I guess you breed cats for new units? I dunno, I need some more of an idea as to what I’m going to be doing in the game.

after years of grinding multiplayer games on epic/av platforms ive turned my mic permanently off. until marvel rivals.

I’m sure the experience varies a lot by platform, but I finally turned mine on. The experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The avoid player mechanic works great, they actually respond within 24 hours to any kind of report and even send you a thank you message detailing what actions were taken and what the violation was. I cant tell you how refreshing this is if youve spent any amount of time on other platforms. It’s a toxic cesspool of the worst behavior ever, and virtually no enforcement of mod actions and if they do happen it takes months.

The result has been I’ve actually made some friends just grinding and fuckin around, I’m on console, I’m in diamond → gm grind and people are sweaty/ragey like you see in any diamond lobby but mostly respectful. They seem to put a lot of priority on their community interactions which seems like a basic ass thing for any multiplayer game but the major platforms basically ignore this. I wont go back.

Well BG3 got its latest and final big update today, there’s that. I played it for a few hours and honestly outside the new subclasses and their skills I didn’t see much there at all new, hope I’m missing something.

Good news:

Bad news:

However, Nintendo Switch 2 accessories will experience price adjustments from those announced on April 2 due to changes in market conditions. Other adjustments to the price of any Nintendo product are also possible in the future depending on market conditions.

Bring on the $80 webcam thing and $120 pro controllers.

surprised it took this long to raise prices for videogames, they were $60+ 30 years ago on a stupid cartridge.

The game world has been talking about this ā€œleakā€ of the Oblivion remaster and they seem to be convinced it’s releasing today. The leak came last week.

Come the FUCK on. One of the biggest events in gaming in recent memory and you think Bethesda isn’t gonna hype the crap out of it with months of trailers, footage, screenshots, interviews, cons, etc? Gimme a fucking break.

*I will gladly eat my words if it drops this week, but come on.

Also, games don’t release on Mondays. Ever.

Yep, that’s an announcement, where they’ll probably tell us it’s releasing in August or something.

I know Bethesda’s ways very well.

Woohoo, there’s a first for everything
