Yeah they announced a new Elden Ring edition that will include the base game and DLC first, and didn’t get to the new FromSoft game until the end of the presentation. Pretty surprised about a FromSoft exclusive on Switch.

You can get the Switch 2 with Mario Kart World bundle for $499
Yeah I registered for that bundle on Nintendo’s website but I’m not looking forward to $70-$80 games.
I’m still playing the Switch I bought in 2017, so hopefully the new console will have a similar lifespan

On the Nintendo Store website, the fine print says
Invitation emails will be prioritized on a first-come, first-served basis to registrants who have purchased a Nintendo Switch Online membership with a minimum of 12 months of paid membership and a minimum of 50 total gameplay hours, as of April 2, 2025. Once invitation emails have been sent to all registrants meeting the priority criteria, invitations will be sent to remaining eligible registrants on a first-come, first-served basis.
Good that they are prioritizing people who actually play. Hopefully this helps reduce scalping.

Pretty underwhelmed. Limited backwards compatability is a big ole fuck you to those who bought the original. A bunch of games re released or you can buy an “upgrade pack?” Fuck you, just let me play the game I already bought without buying it again.

Yeah Jobst is a huge piece of shit too, so I can’t shed any tears over this.
Most games are backward compatible and you can play them on either system, the games people are speculating won’t work are Ring Fit Adventure and Labo because the new joycons won’t work with their special accessories.
The OG BotW and TotK should work fine the upgrades just make them run at a higher framerate with better textures, for example.
