Yeah, me and my bro would race to kill the other dudes who were just at a loss. Like we were Alien and Predator. Similar dynamic to poker where the good players don’t bother with each other much.
The real games were when it was just him and I.

Funny, I was thinking the same thing except I like both of those.
so in RimWorld, with the Royalty expansion, if you accept a quest to build a special structure for the empire, you build the thing with blueprint specifications right away, like ASAP. and then you’ll get your rewards immediately. but then, check how long you have to build the thing, if it’s like 10 or 20 days whatever, and within that time you can build a wooden stool somewhere in the structure, and a countdown timer will start for 24 hours saying the building will be destroyed. but if you’re within the time to build it, it won’t trigger the punishment. so they’ll just send you another monument marker. move the stool out of the structure, and you can place the new monument marker on top of the constructed monument, and it’ll pay royal favor again. and you can keep “priming the pump” this way and i’ve been able to secure a Count title with 57 favor in the bank before i researched assault rifles or flak armor, even.
For those who don’t know, 22er El Kabong is the lead designer on a game called Moving Out that debuted last week and is currently available on xbox game pass. It’s a ton of fun. I’ve finished the main campaign and am about 90% of the way to 100%
I got a giftable copy of State of Decay: Year-One Survival edition (zombie shooter?). Not sure if it’s a full version or what, but somebody @ me if they want it.
My friend told me this game was like 10 hours, what’s the disconnect here? I have this next in my Switch backlog
lol. It has 6 levels, tons of things to unlock, and multiple branching paths that you can only access after beating prior parts. Level 1 is the tutorial. TBH to unlock everything and beat the real last boss on level 6 there’s no way a normal player does it in less than ~150 hours. I’ve been playing off and on since early access though. Also I suck and am old.
I wonder if they beat the first level and thought that was it? I also don’t have the DLC as i almost never end up playing it.
Yeah this game is like Issac. No way you can call it finished until you’ve put in 100+ hours. There is just too much in the game.
Shocked that no one has mentioned FF7R. Non spoiler thoughts? Game has its flaws and some technical issues, but thought it was an amazing gaming experience. I was completely engrossed the entire playthrough. Battle system is top notch and the level of difficulty caught me by surprise, I think I died over 50 times.
Will likely be waiting the year for non PS release
I’m still re-playing my way through GTA IV, but Epic Games has GTA V for free. Their website was down, but I had no problems using their launcher to get the game.
Is there a huge difference in controls between the two games?
The driving is SO MUCH better in V.
I am about 2/3 through and got bored.
The combat is good, and sufficiently challenging. Most FF games become too easy after a point. I was very worried it would be like kingdom hearts 3, which was a joke in how easy it was. I like that they preserved the look and feel of the menu-system in the old style of FF games, while also having a real time combat system.
So no complaints on combat for me. The character builds are a little one dimensional and don’t seem like you can really get too creative with them, but maybe that’ll be different on hard mode, which I intend on playing.
I am gonna really buckle down and try to finish it this weekend. I dont know why I got bored, it’s actually a great game. I think the story’s a little bit boring for me.
8.5/10 for me.
So, I should just finish IV first because the driving is so different that I won’t find it easy to switch back and forth?
I’m kinda jealous. FF7 was one of my fave games of all-time and I’ve considered buying a PS4 just for that game.
My only console for now is a Switch and I loved Zelda, Mario, etc. and my main reasons for owning it are playing while I’m on the road traveling and the more cutesy games give my girlfriend something to do when she’s over here, but the console seems extremely limited. It doesn’t even have a decent sports game for god’s sake (I’d kill for FIFA or 2k). Meanwhile, seems like there’s a new badass game for PS4 every couple weeks. I’m happy with Switch, but definitely a bit of buyer’s remorse here.
I’d recommend finishing IV first, yes
Do you recommend playing The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony?
