Yeah, Ruthless seems like its in an odd spot for me. It doesn’t seem like it’s thaaaaat much harder to complete the campaign, so I wouldn’t consider making it that far much of an achievement such that I’d want to do it once just to say I could, but it also seems that getting to red maps would be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too grindy and unfun such that I wouldn’t want to bother even if I eventually could.
Started playing GOW 2018 yesterday after 400+ hours of Elden Ring. Crazy how much more video gamey GOW feels.
Ruthless sounds like the opposite of fun for me.
Really shocked that we won’t have a meta shakeup, Vaal Cleave seems fun. League seems like it has potential with the new mechanic.
I agree that there’s not really a feeling of “Ooooh, what’s going to be broken this time?” but there was a surprising amount of stuff that got ample play in 3.19, and it may be more diverse in 3.20. That may be healthier for the game than a carousel of “which broken build do 40% of players use this league?” If nothing else, the Archnem removal should (should) make more things viable through t16 maps, and the tribal fury and melee splash changes are, like, a free gem link and 5 skill points for strike players to use as they will, which is a pretty big buff. Attack based players won’t feel like idiots for starting with anything other than lightning strike and helix, although venom gyre and boneshatter will probably collect a lot of that slack.
On the negative, the unique jewel changes don’t seem that great to me. Seems like a bunch of off-meta or meme builds got rekt by them, which is a shame.
I’m thinking I’ll go Maw of Mischief this league. I’m not sure if that Vaal Volcanic Fissure is quite cool enough to entice me away. Maybe if the 20/20 numbers look nutty.
Has anyone developed, by the way, the pure infinite version of Magic: The Gathering online yet, where you just have 4 of every card ever printed, but the machine actually prevents all forms of cheating at the game, and you get to actually play real games of Magic where the results aren’t pre-bullshitted for you, with realistic-looking cards, and real friends, even over the internet, etc.?
Wat
There’s something called Cockatrice out there where you can simulate card games but I don’t think it’s that great of an experience, never actually tried it.
If you already have the friends you can try TTS Steam Community :: Guide :: Magic: The Gathering Guide if you need a friend and a platform I will draft with you on mtg arena over teams or anydesk etc the latest set is quite fun and I draft most days anyway. Might be fun to have someone to discuss picks/plays with.
I’m starting to like GoW, but didn’t at first (only about 10 hours in). I chose the hard difficulty (2nd hardest) and it seems like they did a poor job initially of enemy difficulty. Games should be easy at first and then give you a chance to learn the controls and then get harder. I feel like it’s easier now, but I hope it’s not one of those games that starts hard and gets progressively easier as you get better equipment.
Started playing House of Ashes because it’s on sale. Even though I was disappointed with The Quarry, I’m liking this quite a bit. The pacing feels tighter, it seems more clear how your choices affect the outcome. Unlike The Quarry, I’m actually interested in replaying it over again to see what happens when different choices are made.
Midnight Suns is a lot of fun. About 15 hours in.
Confirmed. I somehow am not familiar with half the characters despite watching tons of Marvel movies. Still enjoying it. It’s odd that Hunter Biden is an official part of the MCU now.
lol, Vaal blade flurry is basically the wolf charge attack from Zelda Twilight Princess.
Yes im sure im missing just buckets of lore, but I think Im getting most of it
It’s a bold choice to focus on characters most people haven’t heard of, and I respect that. I gotta rewatch Blade.
Captain Marvel is weird because I thought she was like Superman-grade invulnerable but if enough people shoot at her she gets iced. I didn’t see the movie so I could be missing something.
I think the explanation is that the green shit the Hydra are being infected with from Lillith gives them the ability to keep up with the supes.
Think Billy Butcher taking compund V and going one on one with Homelander and not being annihilated.
I got Midnight Sons even though my computer is on the lower end of the requirements. It works ok but still a bit too choppy for what I’d want.
Where’s a good place to have recommendations for a PC build?
/r/buildapc, pcpartspicker I think, but you might wanna hold off since midnight suns is horribly optimized supposedly. I’m waiting for a sale I think.
