There’s probably a German word for the feeling you get when spent the entire previous game spawncamping a Mercy as Sombra because no one helped her and winning and then getting matched on a team with that Mercy the next game.
lol no one is protecting the backline anymore it’s pretty sketchy being support right now
yesterday some genji started raging out in voice for not “being healed” when his strat was to just kamikaze into the death ball and get two tapped by reinhardt, 1) no amount of healing is gonna save you from that and 2) I wouldve tried if I didn’t have a completely unharassed reaper and genji chasing me around the backline. lol
one reason baptiste is my favorite right now is i feel i can defend better against ganks than any other support, it’s pretty funny watching a genji panic and run as you pop your immortality field and 3 tap them in the head
Yup, that’s the biggest reason I like Moira: survivability. If someone comes at you, you can fight back with your purple beam, which also heals you, pop one of the orbs depending on your health status, and fade away. The fade can take you far enough away where if they keep coming, you often have enough time to get your orb and next fade ready.
this ult when it gets going with baptiste’s kill zone ult makes me like soldier 76, people just evaporate
lol - somehow I just ended up in an Overwatch quick play game against two top streamers/YouTubers/pros(?): Flats and AverageJonas.
I was a backfill, so it took me a little bit to get oriented. Then I could tell their widow was good and I saw the name Flats pop up in the kill feed. I was confused and pulled up his Twitch stream on my phone and sure enough, it was him. I played poorly (Moira) for about the first half of the map (Junkertown) because I was so confused as to how I was in this game and, frankly, intimidated.
But then I settled in and played well. We won. Flats was definitely gunning for me since I was support. He got me once, maybe twice, but I went after him a few times. Never got a finishing blow on him, but I drained him a whole bunch several times and forced him off of his spot. Our Hammond did a good job teaming up with me to finish him off sometimes.
It was weird.
what rank are you? i got inexplicably placed in bronze despite winning like 14 games in a row
from my hearthstone days i definitely look back very fondly of all the times i played pros i recognized. especially showing up on stream and watching yourself from their perspective. weird feeling but fun
I don’t play competitive. Last real season I played was maybe Season 7 several years ago? I did placements once, but that’s it.
I don’t know what rank I am/would be. I’ve read that the OW2 ranking system was kind of messed up, not sure if they fixed it.
oh, my bad. yea i hate ranked but people try harder so i play it.
Yeah, I mainly don’t play ranked because it’s toxic (or was, I assume it still is).
I just watched Flats’ VOD of the match we were in together. He got me a couple times - once early when I was still getting my bearings and had almost no health and once when he was popping off and got three of us in a row (I had no chance - he had position on me and the only way I could’ve avoided it was to just hide). He was Widow, I was Moira, btw.
I was proud that at one point I got him running scared, had him down to about 30 health. And then one was funny - he had sniped one or two of my teammates and the payload was near the finish. I had to try to stay under cover, as he had a good position, but I didn’t want him to be able to just sit there, so I jumped out real quick and threw my damage orb at him. It hurt him pretty bad and he ran away, saying something about the “skill orb” getting him.
Sorry, man, I know I don’t really have to aim with it, but I can’t just let you sit up on your perch.
lol yea she’s really great at flushing people out of positions. I get annoyed on my team when people at low ranks completely ignore some dps just absolutely popping off and i usually try to harass as much as possible in between cd’s. if baptiste’s gun didnt have a damage drop off he’d be nuts. I want to be better with lucio, good ones are terrifying. for some reason he’s impossible to kill and he can just zip around your backline and pepper healers or get frags himself and he’s healing the entire time
other than a few rage monkeys i find most people friendly. the commendation system appears to be doing SOMETHING to combat this. I’ve not been yelled at for anything yet, other than “not killing enough people” from a 1-14 genji but it’s just a quick mute and move on.
I am actually liking this surprisingly a lot. I just found out they removed hanamura and those other capture maps, i dont think a single person enjoyed those, except on defense hanamura I’m not sure you can get past my widow at first point and I kinda liked that but those maps would literally ruin my day.
I’ve definitely been enjoying OW2. I played the shit out of OW1 - about 1800 hours - but stopped for a long time when they just weren’t adding anything anymore and got into Fortnite. But OW2 is pretty cool so far (it’s really the same, except for 5v5).
I just HATE the monetization. The grind was actually fun in OW1. I totally understand the problem with lootboxes, but there has got to be a better system than this shitty battle pass and shop they have right now.
Wow, pretty surprised. But it makes me wonder, how many mods per monster? If magic and rares had 1 archnem mod, which is now like 6 mods, and you could also have multiple archnem mods on tougher rares, are we going to get monsters that literally look like this?
I love how unclear they are about everything. Dilute, reduction, buff, just all wishy washy words
I had to delete that game because it has a habit of sucking me into my phone for multiple days at a time
Midnight Suns releases in two weeks. Getting pretty good reviews
Does anyone have experience using AMD and Nvidia graphics cards at the same time?
Right now I use 2 Geforce cards for 3 monitors. One of them is old, the other is ancient. There is currently a good deal for a Radeon 6650 XT. I am worried that having both NVidia and AMD drivers might cause conflicts.
I have an AMD cpu and one (1) Nvidia graphics card, and it’s fine. I think 2+ might be where the issue comes up.
