Also, this. The mod scene for XCOM2 might be the best for any game ever
Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun is now free on Epic.
I did read somewhere some trash article that itās too woke coz countries work better with migration in the game. Was very amusing.
Free on Epic:
Shadow Tactics - Blades of the Shogun [=Commandos with ninjas]
Alba - A Wildlife Adventure
Your post inspired me to play this, and it was fun!
Pretty hilarious, though, that you get to the final floor, and theyāre like āThis is the floor with the Scary Big Devilā or whatever, and then when you beat the puzzles to get to him, itās just an 8-second cut scene where you blast him once with an egg and reunite with your girl blob.
The pysch out was pretty funny. They hype it up all throughout the game and you get there and you shoot an egg and you win. Glad you enjoyed it
Wow spoiler alert on a 30-year old game please!
The Chant for PS5. I needed a break from long games after Gotham Knights before I play the new God of War. This was a horror game that appeared similar to Until Dawn. It was actually quite different. Similar run around trying not to get killed in a supernatural island but your interactions donāt really change the story and you actually have to fight different creatures and upgrade weapons and stats etc. Itās a quick game, I beat it in like 3 days so maybe 5-6 hrs. Not sure if itās worth the current price tag, but it was fun and worthwhile IMO.
You guys got me playing Lolo again. Man this must have been tilting af back in the day before saves; only five slipups allowed and you gotta start all over.
From memory I believe there is also an āeveryone overwatchā key. Could that be it?
Maybe that was part of a mod I used.
100% Ori and the Will of the Wisps - thought the original was a better game, maybe because the formula was basically the same. That ending though
Tunic also fantastic if I havenāt mentioned that already.
I got about 50 games in OW2 mostly as support and here are my thoughts -
I watched a lot of ML7 videos and stuff heās talked about on his channel wrt to support (probably the best support player of all time) - he says that compared to other roles, support feels like it has almost zero impact on the game. I can see what heās saying - heroes die so quickly and the healing feels so lackluster compared to the dps heroes can put out that you kinda feel a little worthless as a āpureā healer like say mercy who doesnāt do much else other than amplify damage.
however lucio/baptiste feel awesome to me at lower ranks. Baptiste can swing a team fight nearly instantly with his 30 second cooldown, his healing output is good, and heās got a hitscan that does decent damage. Lucioās healing output is great, he has decent damage of his own, and can be tough to counter.
I havenāt fucked with dps heroes (eager to try widow now that that seems like an acceptable meta pick) and only played a few games of rein. Overall I would say Iām probably enjoying the faster pace a lot more than OW1 even with all the obvious balance issues.
Iām a support main (Moira, mostly). I wouldnāt say support feels useless, but it is definitely harder to heal dps heroes - and to a lesser extent, tanks - because they just go running around all over the place now. I try to focus on keeping my tank alive, since they now put out tons of damage AND can soak up damage. If I keep tanks and dps alive, especially tanks, I feel like I can really influence fights.
Not the best example, as it was using an ultimate, but yesterday I had a game where the other team was a couple meters away from capturing the point (payload) and my three teammates that were fighting were all almost dead. I popped Moiraās ult, healed them all up, we won the fight, and the other team never pushed the payload again.
i sometimes pick moira when i feel our dps is sucking. i am terrible with her but she can actually harass the backline pretty well if you want. I think the thing people are missing now is that the best healers can also get picks - kiriko is obviously S tier, but extraordinarily difficult to play (thank god). conservative prediction, the best support heroes so far in OW2 are gonna be able to off-dps pretty well. this seems backed up by data as the most popular choices seem to be lucio, baptiste, and kiriko at high ranks.
Baptiste for me is the perfect mix. His immortality field can have massive impact and get real saves on people, cancel ults, and he can get picks of his own with a surprisingly low time to kill on his hitscan gun. Iām often out dpsing dps while also top healing in my games now, and at my ranks, this just absolutely slaughters the ladder.
I do see though how at higher ranks support feels ass. People do run around like crazy, I just tell them if they want healing they gotta me more team aware, because especially as a baptiste with only 15 second cd as my only self heal, I die and die quickly, I aint runnin across the map for you.
Yeah, Iāve tilted more toward ādps Moiraā lately. When I first started playing her in OW1, I was a dps Moira, then I went healing Moira. When they made her healing piss spray drain faster, I had to do a bit more dpsāing with the purple beam to build the piss back up. I always had fun messing with the squishies because there wasnāt much they could do to stop me (Sojourn is tough to fight, though, as she can just pop me in the head and Iām dead).
I think my lean toward ādps Moiraā is more because there is one fewer player on the team now, so I often see that our team needs some damage output. Iāll take Zen in that situation, too, since heās basically a dps with passive healing (though if the other team has a dive comp, I insta-switch).
Iāve been trying Kiriko more lately (I only play quick play, not competitive) because a) sheās supposedly amazing, and b) I love her animated short. She definitely seems fun and powerful (her ult is tremendous), but Iām pretty bad with her so far.
her ranged attack is amazing but super fucking hard to land reliably from anything but short range. her healing is lackluster and she is primarily a counter to ana grenade (from my understanding). at low ladder i struggle to see how baptiste isnt better in every single way
