I beat A Plague Tale: Requiem over the weekend. Much the same as the first game, but the story goes on forever. Reminded me of The Last Of Us 2, where you think you’re done and it just keeps going.

Has anyone played Who’s Lila? Sounds interesting.
If you like the first one, then this one is good. The gameplay is improved. It’s still a semi stealth game trying to avoid rats by staying in the light and avoid/kill enemies with lanthorns by throwing rocks to extinguish them or other traps. The story is a bit weaker than the first one, but the gameplay is better. It depends what your preference is I suppose.
Still really enjoying Terra Invicta. It’s pretty mind bogglkng to me how deep the game is. I’m just now pivoting to building my space production after unifying Eastern Europe and gaining control of China, and holy shit, the complexity of ship building is both awesome and daunting. So much detailed customization. It’s like I’m starting a whole new game.

I definitely had a big LOL at this while playing through it, but I just had to get my head right and put myself in the shoes of a cop. Then it all came naturally and made perfect sense.
Nobody would even be talking about the campaign mode if multi-player was released.
I mean they seem to be pretty fairly available on Amazon now, just have to request an invite, although I guess not everyone gets one. I’ll DM you if I see anything as I’m now seeing people posting pictures of them at retail stores - I’ve read you can ask at Best Buy if they have any, they sometimes just have them in the back rather than on display.
Holy shit I thought I was done with this game like three different times yet somehow there was still more to do. This is one case where I would’ve been fine with the last few hours being DLC which I never had to play. Given my usual approach to games (having a pretty low threshold for switching to a new game) I’m surprised I bothered finishing it.
I am thinking I may make a grand return to hearthstone. Feel like lighting some money on fire now that I’m unemployed. Anyone still play standard? Is it a hot mess?
been hearing good buzz about OW2, I played here and there, I do like it a lot better than what was before but only because all my mains despised barrier meta, and my tank main was rein, which I loved to play aggressively for a lot of kills, which I guess is how you’re supposed to play him now
OW2 is in uh bad shape lol. Of course I’ve been playing hours a day since launch and its still fun but 5v5 is a balance mess, tanks are various levels of ridiculous (Zarya can bubble herself twice! Lasts 2.5 seconds!), some characters are almost unplayable (Zen dies instantly) and its very much a back line dive meta with no offtanks or people peeling. I think worth playing more in season 2 (a month or so) when they fix some stuff, bring some maps back as a bunch are disabled, we’ll see.
The worst F2P monetization I’ve ever seen though. $20 skins lol and very hard to earn the currency through playing.

Still playing standard. Still havent spent a dime. Sitting in low diamond with a pretty fun Jailer pally deck. Majority of games are still against rats and bats Hunter or secret Rogue
well yea balance wise i knew and expected it was gonna be a mess - I stopped playing very seriously maybe after 1 year of launch (I played beta) when they made it clear to me they were kinda mashing buttons with balance decisions and tended to focus on balance towards the upper echelons of play and ignored the lower ranks, which irked me - shield barrier meta was straight up oppressive diamond and below, in my opinion, i didnt play much the last 2 years though.
the pace is way more enjoyable to me now, but I’ve only played half a dozen games so far
I’ve done pretty well with Zen, but then again, I don’t play competitive, so I rarely see coordinated dive teams. I switch early if the other team is going to give me trouble.
My problem with OW2 is the monetization. Look, I’m not going to complain too much about being able to play a fun game for free - I don’t feel like I’m “owed” a bunch of goodies - but compared to OW1, it just feels bad. I totally understand the problems with loot boxes, but the OW2 battle pass just stinks.
In Fortnite, I can grind and earn lots of fun stuff plus the in-game currency to buy the next battle pass. In OW2, I can’t. I was able to get almost every single item in OW1, but now I have to spend a whole bunch of money to get any of the good stuff in OW2. Can’t even earn the special Halloween skins by playing the Halloween event.
I still play for fun because games are fun, but that extra bit of enjoyment - the grind to earn cool rewards - is basically gone. Plus, locking heroes behind the battle pass just feels totally against the spirit of Overwatch.
The Halo World Championship 2022 took place in Seattle over the weekend. It was a lot of fun, my favorite team won (400k! notbad.jpeg) and my 2nd favorite team got 2nd place in a memorable finals.
I really enjoy watching the best in the world play…. I play a good bit and they’re sooooooooo much better than I’ll ever be.
All I’ve watched is the finals…. But a team I’ve never heard of (Native Red) knocked Cloud 9 to the losers bracket in the quarterfinals, THEN beat a very competent Faze team in the semis…. When I have time this weekend I’m gonna watch those games

The run C9 had was so impressive. They had a gauntlet to get through in the losers bracket and then to reset the grind finals against the best team… bravo. It was a great worlds. Can’t way to get some new maps incorporated.
Anyone got/played Victoria 3? Wondering how it runs as I am hesitant to buy for my 16gb ram laptop that doesn’t even run hoi4 late game that fantastically.
